What it means

VALORANT couldn't get through Riot's login queue. Riot's internal name for it is LoginQueueFetchTokenFailure.

What to try first

Restart the Riot Client fully, then check Riot's support site banners and status page for a login issue.

Riot's table carries a warning. Riot has flagged its VALORANT code list as out of date, because a bug is making some VALORANT errors show up wrong. If the steps here don't match what you're seeing, Riot suggests a support ticket.

Is it you or Riot? If a lot of players got the same code at once, it's likely the servers. Check Riot's service status page for VALORANT before you start reinstalling things.

Stuck at the door

Riot's table lists 59 under the internal name LoginQueueFetchTokenFailure and says there's an issue with the login queue. The login queue is the line Riot uses to let players in, and VAL 59 means your client couldn't get its place in it.

What to do

Riot's advice has two parts: restart the Riot Client and look for support site banners. Together they cover both cases. A restart gets you a fresh place in the queue if your own session went wrong. A banner tells you if the queue itself is broken, in which case you wait.

Don't confuse it with VAN 59, a Vanguard code that's documented for League and has a different fix.

Riot's fix, in Riot's order

  1. Restart the Riot Client

    Close VALORANT, right-click the Riot Client's tray icon and pick Exit. If you can't find the icon, open Task Manager with Ctrl+Shift+Esc and end RiotClientServices.exe. Start the client again and press Play.

  2. Look for a known outage

    When the fault is on Riot's side, it says so in a banner across the top of its support site and on the official VALORANT Discord. Riot's service status page lists open incidents too. If one matches, nothing on your end will clear it, so wait for the fix.

  3. Send Riot a support ticket

    If the steps above don't clear it, open a ticket with Riot Player Support from the VALORANT support site and include the exact code you saw. Riot can see account-side problems that you can't.
