Past Daily skins and practice boards
Every Daily you missed is still here, along with 30 practice boards. Gold means you found the champion; faded means six misses.
How to play the skin guessing game
Each board is one skin from the 3D skin library, drawn as a solid silhouette. You start on a close crop. A wrong guess pulls back to the whole outline, the next one starts it turning (you can drag it around), and the one after that plays its idle animation. You get six guesses at the champion. Find them and four of their skins appear, and you get one pick.
When the board ends the silhouette fills in with the real textures, and Share copies a row of squares that gives nothing away. It shares a player name with LoL Trivia and LoL Connections, and has its own tabs on the leaderboard.
Skin quiz questions
- How do you play LoL Skin Guesser?
- You see part of a League of Legends skin as a black silhouette. Type the champion you think it is. Each wrong guess shows more: first the whole silhouette, then it turns, then it moves. Name the champion within six guesses and you get one pick at which of four skins it is.
- Is there an unlimited mode?
- Not an endless one. Every past Daily stays playable in the archive, and there are 30 practice boards on top of that, so there's plenty to work through after today's skin.
- Where can I find today's answer?
- We don't post it, since it would spoil the board for everyone else playing that day. If you're stuck, wait for the turning step: a weapon or a cape is much easier to read side on. On the skin pick, the four options always come from four different skin lines, so think about what that line's skins tend to wear.
- How is this different from LoLdle's splash mode?
- LoLdle zooms in on a splash art, which is a painting with all its colors. This uses the in-game model with every color stripped out, so the outline is all you get until you've named the champion. Then you still have to say which skin it is. If you like LoLdle you'll probably like this, and the two make a decent pair for a morning.
- When is there a new skin?
- Every day at midnight UTC. A champion who was a Daily answer won't come back as one for at least 30 days.
- Which skins can come up?
- Any released skin in the 3D library with a model of its own. Base skins are left out. So are recolors and Prestige editions that reuse another skin's mesh, because their outlines are identical. Skins with several forms or evolving tiers have no one fixed shape and esports team skins are too hard to tell apart by outline, so neither is used.
- How is the score worked out?
- Today's board ranks players who found the champion first, then fewer guesses, then whether the skin pick was right, then time. The all-time board ranks champions found on Daily boards, then average guesses per champion, then skins picked right.
- Where do the silhouettes come from?
- From the 3D models in the nerfplz skin library, the same ones you can turn and inspect on each skin's page. Once a board's over, the stage shows that skin in full color and links to its page.
- Do I need an account?
- No. Your first guess gives you a Summoner number, the same one LoL Trivia and LoL Connections use. Sign in with Google or Discord to keep it on another device.
