Hi everyone and welcome back to the newest edition of the Solo Queue Tier List "Division Climbers". In this patch we see the impacts of the introduction of Runeglaive to the mix. Instructions and Caveats:
- Champions in BOLD I will talk about shortly
- Champions UNDERLINED may be over/undervalued, but aren't/haven't played enough for me to make a better judgement.
- Within each tier the champions are strongest from left to right, but within a tier each champion's strength is relatively close. This is especially true for Tiers 2 and 3 where these champions are ALL highly playable and player dependent on how strong they are in-game.
- This tier list takes data from ALL players; however, since the majority of players fall in the first three tiers, the majority of data points will come from there.
- Win Rates are important in analyzing each champion's strength, but are not the end-all criteria for any champion's position.
- The creator of this list is diamond, so there may be some personal bias towards higher tier play on certain champions.
Champion Explanations
- Alistar [Tier 2 Support] - Despite his godly status in professional ranked play, this simply doesn't translate well into solo queue. His short cooldowns and powerful all-in requires good team synergy, which is often lacking when it comes to random five player set ups.
- Ashe [God Tier ADC] - Although she's been nerfed several times including last patch, I think that she's still likely the strongest AD carry in the game, especially with the undisputed top-notch utility provided from her ultimate. However, she's definitely not "extremely overpowered" anymore and seems much more in line with the rest of the good ADCs.
- Azir [Tier 2 Mid] - A champion that scales incredibly well into late game, Azir is one of those champions where if players would just buckle down and farm for 10 minutes, they'd probably do incredibly well. However, the amount of patience and cooldown management necessary to play Azir at a high level holds him back in solo queue. The urge to dive is just too great, and the ability to do so is just too low.
- Blitzcrank [God Tier Support] - The latest changes to the yellow gold item are actually quite beneficial to him. As a champion who is focused on making late game plays, the fact that Relic Shield was so much better than the gold item early to mid game made it nearly impossible for Blitzcrank players to choose the speed boost. However, now that they're much more even, Blitzcrank's speed burst from his refined W and the item make him impossible to escape from late game.
- Cassiopeia [Tier 2 Mid] - After nerfs on Luden's from last patch, Cassiopeia's become substantially weaker than before. By weaker, I mean balanced; she can still be quite the menace.
- Darius [Tier 1 Top] - The new black cleaver has definitely benefited him a ton, and reflects in his success rate at the moment. This, plus the return of more melee based top laners means that his bullying power continuous to increase.
- Diana [God Tier Jungle] - The new runeglaive jungle item seems completely built for her, and as such, she synergizes exceedingly well with it and is absolutely devastating in her current state.
- Ekko [Tier 3 Mid] - After repeated nerfs along with the skillcap that he brings along, Ekko requires a bit more effort and mastery to use effectively at the moment.
- Fiddlesticks [Tier 2 Jungle] - Where the runeglaive seemed built especially for Diana, at the same time it seems to be especially targeted to screw over Fiddlesticks.
- Kayle [Tier 1 Jungle] - Kayle is actually in a very good place right now in the jungle as an on-hit type of champion. Her standard on-hit build combined with Devourer makes for a very potent combination.
- Lux [God Tier Mid] - Patch 5.12 brought in exactly the kind of buffs Lux players have always wanted. A meaner, leaner, and more consistent machine of destruction, Lux is absolutely devastating right now with buffs on her both offensively and defensively.
- Lux [Tier 2 Support] - Although Lux probably won't be seeing much support status considering her strength as a mid laner at the moment, support Lux is indeed slightly stronger than before and plays more consistently.
- Nunu [Tier 1 Jungle] - As many of you rightly surmised, Nunu does rely heavily on your teammates being competent. Personally, I do think that he can still hold his own, but agree that he probably shouldn't be god tier.
- Ryze [Tier 1 Top] - With his win rate evening out despite the insane ban rate he's facing, I think it's fair to say that he likely belongs in the bottom half of Tier 1 or high Tier 2. However, much like we saw from Kassadin after repeated nerfs, he'll likely stay on the ban radar for a few more patches. The memories of certain highlight reel videos are just too great.
- Sejuani [Tier 2 Jungle] - After the cinderhulk nerfs and direct Sejuani changes, I think the era of the boar beast woman is over, and she's snuggly balanced now.
- Teemo [Tier 2 Mid] - Oh the underdog rises again...with nerfs on Luden's from last patch and the return of more melee based assassin champions mid, as always, Teemo the ultimate early game ranged cheese and late game baiting master makes his comeback on the rift...

This tier list is lookin good, also Alistar's explanation kinda just ends abruptly.
ReplyDelete@SSJSuntastic SSJ, in the descriptions you put ADC Nunu :P
ReplyDeleteNunu Tier 1 ADC ?!?!?!?
ReplyDeleteHere it iss folks, lets go! Thank you for the list :)!!!
ReplyDeletei don't know why you guys are complaining. Nunu is obviously a strong adc. And poor fiddle he got shafted by runeglaive
ReplyDeleteTHE GOD TIER NUNU IS GONE. PRAISE NERFPLZ GODS
ReplyDeleteNew meta
ReplyDeleteSometimes...I get tired
ReplyDeleteIndeed it does, I was spectating a game and lost my train of thought halfway through
ReplyDeleteYou should probably move Darius back down. His winrate only went up because he was bugged. "Black cleaver changes" had nothing to do with it.
ReplyDeleteDidn't that bug only affected his dunkmaster skin?
ReplyDeleteWhy did shyv go up?
ReplyDeletesinged tier 1 O.o so it really is the true power of proxy singed
ReplyDeleteIs Diana REALLY that strong?
ReplyDeleteI think Eve is very powerful right now with Runeglaive as an AP Assasin jungler
i mean, diana is an ap fighter
ReplyDeletei didn't mean to say she's not
ReplyDeleteHis Dunkmaster skin had a bug where after e-ing, he couldn't auto, whereas on every other skin or classic, after apprehending someone, they were stunned for too long allowing him to get off 1 or 2 mroe autos and a q.
ReplyDeleteits almost like runeglaive is made for ap fighters
ReplyDeleteJG main here. I think Diana is fantastic if you have lanes with cc. You have tons of potential to start the snowball pre 6 and take over when you get ult. As for eve I still prefer ad bruiser. Maybe I just had a couple bad games with runeglaive on her (actually did pretty well in one), but it felt somewhat underwhelming to me. The jungler I like it the best on is actually nid. She gets a huge power spike with sheen and now you aren't sitting there arguing with the temptation of going 2nd item LB instead of rod of age (or zhonyas here if you prefer rushing that). The one that really has me scratching my head is Shyv ana god tier.
ReplyDeleteCinderhulk nerf(she abuses devourer too much), last buffs to her Q, new tank masteries, some nerfs here and there... Who need CC when you kill a 1v1 at lvl 3 just with autos? I stomped a match a few minutes ago using 15/15/0 masteries
ReplyDeleteI would think the buffs on her a patch or 2 ago really gave her the damage she needed. Combine that with awesome sticking potential against less mobile opponents. (seriously, look at God Tier right now, no one had any real mobility/strong escape besides maybe riven and post 6 ahri) These things combined would make her pretty strong even if she isn't the most recognized pick.
ReplyDeleteI hope riot just makes it so that Diana does less damage vs monsters when they nerf her, because i love abusing her toplane ability to out trade almost anyone
ReplyDeleteOn topic of Azir being tier 2, how long would it really take or master or be effective on really high skillcap champions including but not limited to Azir and is it even worth learning someone so difficult when you can climb more easily with easier champs?
ReplyDeleteHecarim top dropped? I still have been winning near every non Ryze/Swain lane, Gnars included...
ReplyDeleteMaster god tier champs till u reach high gold or above, then practice to main high skillcap champs.
ReplyDeleteSkarner isn't strong?
ReplyDeleteJust copy pasting what I wrote in another comment chain up there.
ReplyDeleteI would think the buffs on her a patch or 2 ago really gave her the
damage she needed. Combine that with awesome sticking potential against less mobile opponents. (seriously, look at God Tier right now, no one had any real mobility/strong escape besides maybe riven and post 6 ahri) These things combined would make her pretty strong even if she isn't the most recognized pick. Not to mention repeated nerfs on other, tankier junglers.
Ok. I reached Gold last season and I haven't gone ranked since, but now I'm being matched with mostly plats as of right now, So I think I might as well learn someone more challenging.
ReplyDeletePersonally, Azir took me like 5 games to get good with him. But before that I used to main orianna as well as ADC too. It all depends on your situation, I just had a lot of experience with kiting, moving around my attacks and positioning so he felt kinda natural. Also it depends on what champion you are playing and your skill level/experience. I got Azir in 5 games but like 20 games after trying to learn lee sin I still suck with him. Once you master the high skill cap champions then climbing becomes easier and in the long term will help you as a player. You might take the easy way out and play like, Master Yi in bronze but your skills effectively wont transition into higher elos. An example of this with me is maining Thresh. He IS one of the hardest supports but i've gotten quite good with him, and I know that he's relevant in every level of play due to his usefulness in a variety of situations, unlike say Sona or something who will get shit on in higher elos but might destroy bronze.
ReplyDeleteStronger than ever clear power with the last 3 buffs on her, cinderhulk nerfs, god tier junglers nerfs, new tank masteries, tank shredder by nature, squishies eater by nature, supreme sinergy with botrk triforce and blue smite and, what waddledeeguy also said
ReplyDelete@SSJSuntastic the explanation for Alistar is incomplete :P
ReplyDeleteDid the Elise buffs and Runeglaive really not help her at all?
ReplyDeleteThank you for the list senpai. I now have reading material for the next week or so!
ReplyDeleteLately I have been trolling ranked games as ez with smite into runeglaive. I am always topping damage and or equal to a fully built adc. I don't know if it would change his place on the list, but it's actuary very safe... even from assassins so far. Just thought I'd throw it out there!
... And apparently they are buffing runeglaive in pbe...
ReplyDeleteWhy Did Soraka move down? She wasnt buffed nor nerfed...
ReplyDeleteYeah master and play god tier. and tier 1....and why not a few tier 2 's also. But not lower than that.
ReplyDeleteGood to read your tier list man. But don't you feel that cho'gath is a god tier mid?
ReplyDeleteI (ab?-)used him too. He has the worst earlygame of all midlaners (well this might go to veigar). You are AP ez AND you dont have ignite. And you dont have waveclear, so you will lose cs.
ReplyDeleteRuneglaive-ez is a true hypercarry. After runeglaive you are good to go and after ludens you are a beast. Everything afterwards transforms you to the strongest champ on the battlefield.
Is it worth it? I think it is. Mobility, burst and sustained damage is a unique strength, horrible to face this guy. Cost efficiency of runeglaive makes up for some CS you missed in the earlygame.
I suggest Tier 1 but the bias is strong in this one. Tier 2, viable choice, sounds good too.
yeah thats correct...
ReplyDeletei really thought it was normal... because i thought i blocked his way...
i just re-test the drarius... and he is still very strong...
I stopped getting ludens if they have high hp team... I have an unusual build doe
ReplyDeleteI think spellvamp is the way to go against tanky teams, because he profits so much from it. After liandrys buffs next patch, ez could become the ultimative tank- and squishymelter.
ReplyDeleteHe scales SO good with items that he makes good use of almost every AP related item. When i see my final build i wonder why i didnt build rylais... You truly have the choice when building this guy.
No his Q is a little unreliable. tier 1 is fine, he is awesome tho
ReplyDeletegetting good isnt the same as mastering, and unless youre bjergsen, you can't just pick up a champ and succeed. to really master a champ you need at least 50 games and for high skillcap champs much longer than that. at least in my opinion. I like your advice and examples though.
ReplyDeleteI guess he just thought he placed Soraka too high.
ReplyDeleteCassiopeia will rise again with the ap items changes
ReplyDeleteHey man, loving the list. I do want your thoughts on the Runeglaive AP Ezreal mid build though and what tier it is.
ReplyDeleteJust curious, why did nocturne jump from tier 3 to tier 1 last patch?
ReplyDeleteteemo, the bating master... heh.
ReplyDeleteKILL IT WITH FIRE
ReplyDeleteIt's true that he scales well in terms of damage and mobility but that's literally all he has. Most mid-laners like Orianna, Swain, Ahri, Lux etc. have some key CC to go along with it and aren't useless for 20-minutes either. CC usually wins more games than raw damage because you can set-up roams, defend allies, make huge plays etc. Damage is a necessary but not sufficient component for a great mid-laner in most games.
ReplyDeleteWhat would make Elise more viable? I like her but I find her team fights useless. Once she has used Q in human form and then in spider form she has nothing else to do in terms of damage that would help towards taking down a healthier opponent. I think her Rappel is strange because she can only descend onto a target, I think it would be much better to descend anywhere within its radius which would help her escape fights much easier. Perhaps a longer stun on Cocoon would be nice too or a harsh slow on Volatile Spiderling.
ReplyDeleteno one likes Trundle?
ReplyDeleteprobably all the winy kids from last patch persuaded him to move her down idk though, i like her better than blitz personally
ReplyDeletei think Damage is greater than CC, at least in a division under platinum anyways
ReplyDeletewhat I see : Damage > CC > Mobility
what others see: Mobility > CC > Damage
in the end how good champion is goes to how well their kit goes with the meta, not just by how much cc they have
I think they did, her playrate almost doubled so that may be why her win rate didn't budge from the buffs and runeglaive
ReplyDeleteJungle Gods: Amumu, Shyvana, Diana
ReplyDeleteHoly this List is shit xD
Have you tried Diana jg yet? its stupid OP
ReplyDeletethey need to define her role better, they have her set up with crazy mobility which works best on assassins, and she has very little cc, again, an assassinlike attribute, and she also has her Q which says that she should be taking people from 100-0, yet she has low ratio's so building full ap like an assassin is not a good idea, and thus people build her tanky
ReplyDeletei think riot should either make it so that she benifits from ap enough to buy some, or make it so she scales off tank stats so she can have a better late
Diana needs a nerf. I got mastery level 4 and she's just a Q R champion. Seriously riot, please fix this.
ReplyDeleteunfortunately not, shes still does barely any damage, her base stats are incredibly low, gets destroyed by all the tanks in the game. shes super weak right now, and the buff was barely a buff anyways, as if you're ever going to rappel onto an adc lets say and start autoing then, never going to happen
ReplyDeletei find that her passive is what makes her strong, once its up you can QR auto and they will be almost deal a good portion of the time at 6
ReplyDeletei do agree though that her late game is kinda ridiculous where you can 1 shot ppl with with moves on a short cd
Yah, as much as I enjoyed climbing a league with her, I can't help but agree that it's kind of unfair for the enemy when your scalings are so high and you have a low cd shield that becomes stronger when fighting.
ReplyDeleteWhat do you think would be good to nerf on her to be more balanced.
And the Gragas nerfs really weren't needed. He was already balanced with a 49 percent win rate but now hes not that good.
Holy crap the changes on the PBE right now are so crazy..... the whole AP world is being flipped upside down
ReplyDeletemake it so that she needs 4 AA's to proc her passive, and give her more AS per level, so that she can still snowball but has a harder time doing so, plus it will curve her jg clear which also means less gold and again it will be harder to snowball
ReplyDeleteYou are shibe :-(. I agree with all except dianuh maybe. I dont care about diana much and havent seen dianuh much
ReplyDeleteI think the last buff made her alright. She is meant to be an early game jungler and that is accomplished. If you can hit a cocoon the enemy should die if you can smash QWRQW fast enough and if they flash you can slip rappel in there. Not sure what you have been building but here is mine Runeglaive>sorcerer boots> haunting guise>liandry's if rolling tank if not and finishing with runeglaive, sorcerer boota, frozen heart, banshee ' and void staff with void staff always being last.
ReplyDeleteNo on belivevd me when I said Diana Jungle is broken with the new item, I got like 7 wins 0 Looses with it sience he new patch, she's definetly a big deal. The only thing i can't understand is Shyvana, her ganks aren't so good even with ult on mmy opinion. She's more like an afk farmer so I would play her top lane instead.
ReplyDelete51% win rate last I checked, probably low T2?
ReplyDeleteHer ganking pre 6 is flat out bad though and even after 6 she relies on enemies being over extend so she can get behind them for ult. I don't doubt that she is strong with the items you listed but does it matter if your lanes are a combined 2-10?
ReplyDeleteHer early game is great but she falls off in the late game and is terrible in team fights, I think. I think unfortunately she doesn't fit well in either role, she doesn't have the necessary AP to take down champions in the late game and as a tank she doesn't have the kit to support it. I've heard she was once formidable but I have only started playing this game recently so I'd love to know what made her decline.
ReplyDeleteI've just played Diana jungle now and she is OP. I used to play her before this patch but didn't think much of it, now she is insane. It's nice to see her fit strongly in the jungle role.
ReplyDeleteShyvana is good at clearing the jungle and getting around the map quickly with her W. Her ganking isn't that great, I usually wait until my ult is up and then go in with W for that extra movement speed and then ult so I can hit the target and knock them away from safety. Diana however is OP at the moment.
ReplyDeleteI agree personally, which is why i pretty much said that her kit looks like she should be blowin up people left and right, but riot doesn't like it when kids cry because they can't be bothered to counterbuild, so i doubt that she will have any signifigant numbers buff
ReplyDeletePerhaps it comes down to having a solid team behind you.
ReplyDeleteI can't see any buff coming either, she's had a few in the last few patches and still hasn't seen much change.
ReplyDeleteI think Trist is better than most of the Tier 2 ADs right now, I would put her between Corki and Varus.
ReplyDeleteA good build for Diana jungler (after Runeglaive)? And first of tier 1 in mid? Can you tell me also a good build for mid?
ReplyDeleteI know right?
ReplyDeleteI main Annie, and with the new WotA, she will become even more of a powerhouse. That 15% heal will be insane on her. Especially using her Q to farm. Now she will have a lot more sustain once she completes Wota.
Cho'gath Top is God tier right now.
ReplyDeletefor Jungle: Runglaive > Sorcs > Ludens > Morello > Deathcap > Void (substitute items as needed)
ReplyDeletefor Mid : Ludens > Sorcs > Lichbane > ROA > Deathcap > Void (again substitute as needed)
just how i build her not claiming it is the best or only build but i have had success with it, and be sure to experiment, you never find a new op way unless you try "troll builds" once in a while
Wota annie? sounds interesting i might try it sometime, do you find it is necessary or do you build it situationally? and how much does it affect your lategame power?
ReplyDeleteFree elo, and overextended lane is a dead lane, but lets think she's not a "good ganker"
ReplyDeletei would say, that it adds more sustainability.
ReplyDeletei can tell you how annoying it is as an ap to always have to go back to base because one kogmaw ult.
i would say annie isn't the best user, but certainly worth looking into after the new wota.
Zeke’s Herald
ReplyDeleteNew Recipe: Glacial Shroud [950 Gold] + Amplifying Tome [ 435 Gold ] x2 + 480 Gold Recipe Cost = 2300 Gold Total
Grants 50 Ability Power, 250 Mana, 35 Armor and 10% Cooldown Reduction
UNIQUE Passive: When you’re within 1000 units of each other, you and a target ally generate charges while moving. Casting spells and attacking grants more charges. At 100 charges, the next damage instance consumes all charges and increases the AP of both you and your ally by 20% and grants both 50% bonus Critical Strike chance for 6 seconds
UNIQUE Active – Conduit: Target an ally to bind with them, removing all other Conduits they currently have on them [60 second cooldown]
interesting
Nidalee with runeglaive. Enough said
ReplyDeleteI agree with masterofmetal below, that Elise's kit seems to favor an assassinplaystyle, she just doesnt have the numbers atm. I like Elise and thought about a ,,solution''.
ReplyDeleteWhy not give her a fizzlike damageamp on her cocoon? She could solokill people with that much more often and the skillshot is really dodgeable, counterplay hurray! The amplification would have a fixed duration, for example 4-5 seconds.
Should this break her earlygame, nerf her basedamage on earlylvls a little, or let the amp scale with levels, just like talon's.
Its the nidaleeapproach: Hit the cocoon? Fine, now go in meleerange for the kill.
Both tank and ap Elise would profit. Thoughts?
Is someone willed to calculate the cost efficiency?
ReplyDeleteno no no no no, elise is ridculously weak right now and her damage is super low, every says it so i have no idea how you come up and say that she does good damage. shes way to bad right now and gets destroyed in every stage of the game by junglers like rek sai and gragas.
ReplyDeletei think that with the active is indeed a cost efficient
ReplyDeleteis better mid than top but indeed strong
ReplyDeleteruneglaive-luden and zhonya-deathcap and abyssal.(not necessarily in this order but usually you rush luden after runeglaive.
ReplyDeleteFor boots i prefer ionian but sorc are good too
remember adc itemization change?
ReplyDeleteSome sleeper op pick is gonna make his appaerance next patch
shyvana in midgame is op like an hecarim or an irelia.
ReplyDeleteAnyway try ekko jungle, his clears are good with w passive and with a point and click gap close your ganks aren't bad
i don't care, the people who thinks that gragas, nunu or every other lcs jungler who isn't sejuani is op is a kid or an high elo player.
ReplyDeleteIf you are an high elo player why the hell you're here in a tier list for bronze and silver?????
If you are a kid i can't do anything for you sorry
Anyway shyvana and amumu are stronger than sejuani, rek sai and gragas in platinum+ according to champion. gg
ReplyDeletewhile diana is weaker only than rek'sai and stronger than sejuani ._.
you can also make his q deal 10K pure damage but as long as he can't reach the backline he will be forever useless unless in a meta where mobility and cc aren't king
ReplyDeleteUsing stats i found on the lol wikia i found that
ReplyDelete50 ap is worth 1087 G
250 mana is worth 500 G
35 armor is worth 700G
10% cdr is worth 317 G
so the base stats come to a total of 2604G value, so the item seems to be rather gold efficient considering that passive
I would take it most games. As the AP carry, the enemy team will be gunning for you, so when you flash > Tibbers, into a group of them, you will be the main target. Now when this happens, I am not always at full health, so I can get a full combo off, and heal a quarter of my max health instantly. Plus it gives you the needed CDR so that you can pop spells off faster.
ReplyDeleteHere is a mock build you might want to try out once the patch hits. Now you have to remember that the Needlessly Large rod got nerfed along with all of the main items for annie, so her damage with boots has gone down to about 800 AP with a full build.
Boots of choice>Wota>Archangel's Staff>Zhonya's> Ryali's Scepter>Rabadons Death Cap
Now with this build you can do a full combo and get 2700 damage off. Once you come out of your zhonya's the team should either be dead, or running. Now this is taking into effect that the enemy team isnt building MR. And lets be honest. Most low Elo carries dont build MR.
You also have to tank into account if you rush Wota, and you have it durning the laning phase, you can just keep using your Q on minions to farm, and stay in lane as long as you want. As long as you keep last hitting your minions, you will have a huge amount of sustain. And the way I see it the longer I am in lane and farming, the more powerful I become later on.
ReplyDeleteYeah, fair enough. I think bjerg started the trend?
ReplyDeleteIts really fun though HAHA
ReplyDeleteThank you!
ReplyDeleteDo i get that right, that only 2 players per team can use the passive at the same time ? (4 bound, 1 without?)
There's two Nautilus Top tier 2
ReplyDeleteI thought tristana would be tier 1 imo but I guess if you think that is where she should go.
ReplyDeleteWhy is there no explanation on why shyvana randomly moved up to god tier?
ReplyDeleteap kogmaw moving any soon?
ReplyDeleteI think people who can't play her say that.
ReplyDeleteYes, other than with gragas who can carry early and late or could at least, early game junglers need good teamates. Doesn't matter how fed you get a group of idiots, they will still be idiots.
ReplyDeleteYeah.
ReplyDeleteYeah, you seem to be favoring a more offensive build than I do. What works for you works for you.
ReplyDeleteRuneglaive, Sorcs, Zhonya, Abyssal, Frozen Heart, Banshee
ReplyDeleteMh, i'm expecting some pretty hard balance changes in the next patch tho. The whole AP overhaul seems like it might just shift the meta once again, and harder than cinderhulk IMHO. Can't wait to see that. On today's list tho, I'm not sure about that Shyvana big move either, and finally, keeping an eye on Eve as the New Magus is getting buffed next patch too...
ReplyDeleteextremely good teamfighting potential mid game, better than maybe other junglers and her early game counterjungling is very good and can kill too unlike nunu who can just steal.
ReplyDeleteso strong he needs to be mentioned twice XD
ReplyDeleteonly the support and the person bounded to him
ReplyDeleteuntil assassins are popular and every other ap carry can abuse his immobility for kill him over and over like lux he won't
ReplyDeletedid you remember the adc itemization change where tristana became the god of gods and jinx almost dropped to tier 1?
ReplyDeleteIt will be probably like that, gods will almost fall down and some underdogs will be top mid laners in the game
Makes sense ; I probably tend to overrate the changes a bit. As a Swain and Azir enthousiast, I love a good Rylai+Lyandri's (where's the Y on these?! I have no clue, give up on spellchecking for today) on top of my dear RoA. Those 3 get a significant boost and... I see that to be possibly beneficial to more of my usual midlaners. I dunno TBH, I'm just super excited about these ; some new blood on the charts is always an oportunity to try new things without being seen as a troll.
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure who started it but that would make sense. People try to do whatever the Bjerg does.
ReplyDeleteHmmmm i see you dont play her too much... Can you say a gank is flat out bad, when enemy laner burn flash after loss 3/4 of his/her life with just 3 AA?
ReplyDeleteI know Thresh is one of the harder supports on the game and thats what keeps him from being God Tier, but im enjoying and doing well on him.
ReplyDeleteJust thought id say it ^^
Start with golems, then birds, then red. Gank at lvl 3, get a kill/wasted flash. Go blue, and gank another lane, locate enemy jungler, steal her/his camps. That's all u have to do. Your laners are doing bad? Afk farm till 6, then group, get some kills and carry the game.
ReplyDeleteWhy runeglaive on Diana is so strong according to you?
ReplyDeleteermm yeah meteos can't play elise :/ neither can every other jungler :/ i guess you're right. lol
ReplyDeleteimho tankier ap carry like anivia, vladimir ecc... are gonna benefit the most since the heavy ap items are all nerfed while ap items that gave ap like rilai, liandry and roa are gonna be buffed
ReplyDeletebecause her burst become more consistent while givong her sustain in the jungle, diana always was strong in the jungle but her lack of mana sustain set her back but now she's one of the top carry jungler in the game, even better than nidalee because you're tankier and your skillshot is easier to connect
ReplyDeletePlus lich bane is really good on her and now she gets a mini built in one early on
ReplyDeleteIt really is the fact that your team wont always follow up and not everyone will take that lantern. Whereas blitz just yanks someone directly towards your teamates and they have to do nothing to follow up, thresh require people to run in with him. To make the most of him with the godly bunnyfufu type plays with a Q dash and someone following through that with a lantern takes a ton of coordination which just doesnt happen in solo queue. Although he is still very strong if you can make the plays with flays and just deny dashes like nobody's business.
ReplyDeleteThe only liability I think that having him over a mid with cc is in yoloq you get hero jungles that could have a team comp of 3 squishies and a slightly really support and then they pick yi. Point I'm making is that I agree to a point, but the reasons I don't are people pick poor given comps and I don't think that one cc will always change how it goes... Once you get ryalais, you can q someone to death as they try to get away. Thank you for your input though, that's appreciated
ReplyDeleteSo the runeglaive is strong on Diana only because it gives mana?
ReplyDeleteWhat about 5v5s?
ReplyDeleteElise buff hasn't gone through in professional play and until recently she wasn't supported by the meta. I feel like you pulled that out of your butt. You may also remember Xyrene saying she is in a great place now post buff during the recent interview with riot Jag.
ReplyDeleteI said unless the enemies are out of position. If they are at your team's tower there is no way they outrun Shyv but if they are near their own they will just jog back and lol at you.
ReplyDeleteNunu is still god tier. If I get my Nunu against someone like Amumu or Diana, it's counterjungling/denying all day.
ReplyDeleteMy jungle gods:
ReplyDeleteAmumu, Sejuani, Nunu
Why the sudden rise for shyvana? From trash tier to nearly best jungler is quite a jump. I'm quite fond of the half dragon and would love to start playing her again
ReplyDeleteFirst it's the tank meta, now it might become the AP meta
ReplyDeleteTier 2* to tier 1. Nerfs on cinderhulk and a couple buffs to him probably
ReplyDelete"Focus soraka" why do people say this? Well, she can peel and heal very well
ReplyDeleteWukong's win rate as a mid laner went down to 51% for a short period of time and u drop him to tier 2? I don't understand, especially now that assassins are coming back into the field and wukong's win rate in mid is back up to 55%. He is still much better mid than top, still is a cheese force, and luden's echo is nerfed now. I understood the move down (even though i still think at that time he deserved t1) last patch i think he need a move up again, back to tier 1, and he is once again better mid than top.
ReplyDeleteHis statistical variation isn't that significant since his play rate is so low mid lane. He could probably use a slight move up now with a lot of the assassins nerfed though.
ReplyDeleteI'm also at a loss as to the rise.. @SSJSuntastic, mind letting us know the reason behind this?
ReplyDeleteWhat caused Singed to rise to tier 1? Just wondering
ReplyDeleteI rarely talk about stats to back up my claims, as u know i could write a novel if i wanted to say all of wukong's strengths as a mid laner. What I'm saying is that he should be back up to tier 1. Especially since he is the best top laner in the game according to this list. While i think he is better mid than top, it is debatable since in mid he trades better matchups and roaming potential with higher vulnerability to jungle ganks, i'd say he should be in a similar spot in mid as in top. But he defs shouldn't be 2 tiers lower.
ReplyDeleteNo one likes Jax?
ReplyDeleteShe was at tier 1 at 5.11, after being tier 2 at 5.10... So yes, she's a god tier now, I wonder if is anything superior to god tier, because that what she's going to be after sated devourer release.
ReplyDeleteThoughts on Elise?
ReplyDeleteNo one can farm under tower forever, anyway, just steal enemy camps, outtrade enemy junglers, be creative, or dont play her at all, i really dont want to see her on the ban top ten list :(
ReplyDeleteOh. cool
ReplyDeleteHer buffs were not enough, her win rate went down because more people tried her and failed.
ReplyDeleteWhat type of champion is primarily being played in solo que for all roles? Are we dealing with all assassins, poke comps, AoE teamfighters, tanks still? I haven't played much ranked for like 3 months and when I watch LCS/streams I see a really different set of champions every game. So is there a consistent meta team composition or not?
ReplyDeleteWhat is it about Ahri that has made her so good for so long? Is it all about her pick ability and good mobility? I don't play her much, so I'd appreciate an outside opinion.
ReplyDeleteBut you have to remember, in solo queue it'll be harder to get your team to take advantage of opportunities that Nunu offers from that playstyle, as opposed to the more obvious hypercarry style or ganking style of jungler. That's why he's rated lower in the solo queue list, not just because he's hard or not good.
ReplyDeleteWell in that case its better especially if you are on skype or whatever because you can coordinate then
ReplyDeleteShe has quite a bit of mobility and can quite easily stay out of harm's reach while dealing some consistent damage; her unique CC, that is, her Charm, is also very potent.
ReplyDeleteSince her Q now applies her W damage, her clear speed is increased significantly. She is a very powerful champion that deals a lot of damage, while still being amazingly tanky.
ReplyDeleteI'm not disputing her being a strong to be clear. I just don't think she is a god. That being said I think she kind of has Amumu status. She isn't broken like Sej was and isn't a household name like a Lee sin so I don't think her ban rate will become obscene unless she gets really popular with the pros.
ReplyDeletei like jax
ReplyDeleteyeah she counters low elo alot too because alot of people tend to chase and forget she has that charm and it can turn around a losing fight
ReplyDeletenot really the game has been more balanced than ever. strong teamfight comps are sort of the best atm, however there are many ways to win games. you just have to pick into what your team has and doesnt have. if ur team needs a tank pick a tank. if your team needs magic damage pick magic damage, if your team needs more cc pick cc.
ReplyDeleteLMAO "i could write a novel" calm down its a videogame if u like wukong mid why would u want everyone else to be u? i think u playing wukong mid makes u cool and unique as a player. why would u want to just be the same as everyone else.
ReplyDeleteid also like to add hes an AD mid so your chancing on someone else to have that magic damage. otherwise its an autoloss to malphite :p
do you think he should be moved up?
ReplyDeleteEkko AP Jungle with the new Jungleitem is pretty decent. Quite strong tbh.
ReplyDeleteMay consider placing him a bit higher. His skillcap will may keep him away from higher tiers, but I think it's worth to think about.
Good work on the list this patch. Keep it up, mate.
I like Jax. Main top. nah he's my free elo secret.
ReplyDeleteAside from Diana and Ekko and probably Evelynn and Elise, it seems like there aren't a lot of junglers who would prefer runeglaive over cinderhulk or devourer. I could see it working on Skarner if you aren't going full tank. Maybe Nasus/Hecarim? I mean unless you plan on jungling with Sona and Zyra lel
ReplyDeleteThe mobility of her Q+ult is really good and the true damage on her Q is also very strong with Luden's Echo. Also PopstAhri skin is good for fapping
ReplyDeleteWith good comunication, and a adc who actually knows what u're going to do, thresh is good, even better than leona, but sadly this is a YOLOQ list...
ReplyDeletecan somebody explain why shyvana is suddenly god tier? i feel like she was like tier three a few patches ago, something last list about how she's a higher damage version of nunu, right? Personally I just got Shyv and i think she's really strong but her early ganks are kind of lacking unless the enemy is extremely out of position and I cant find a way to build that makes her nearly as powerful as amumu or even rek'sai...
ReplyDeleteTLDR: Why is Shyvana so strong rn and what should I build on her.
AP Shaco?
ReplyDeleteThey updated her W so it applies extra damage on basic attacks equal to a portion of W's damage, so she clears incredibly fast now, and with devourer and botrk outduels anyone with a lot of burst
ReplyDeleteMaybe easier lanes from the current top meta, and his ultimate and fling buffs, he's also being given mr/level soon so I think he'll rise higher
ReplyDeleteReasons: Cinder nerfs, and especially the last 2 buffs on her kit gave her potential to outtrade every jungler who relies on CC. New tank masteries have a great sinergy with her, specially Swiftness being now a lvl 1 mastery. Adaptative armor is awesome being a champ who builds primarly defenses over HP. Enchanted armor it's great if you like running 9/21.
ReplyDeleteNow, some explications: Her kit has tremendous sinergy with chilling devourer, Atk spd greatly increases her W proficiency. It means u're empowering 2 abilities(W and Q) besides her autos, overall damage increase a lot just with the jungle item. That's the first powerspike, 2nd is Botrk, once again, more AS, a 2nd slow to improve her stickyness, and more tank shredder power besides her E. After those 2 items, you can build full tank, and be unkillable, OR continue with the 3rd and more powerful powerspike item: Triforce, every stat on this item (except for the extra mana) is what makes her god tier, More AS=more overall dmg, more SPD=more capacity to reach carries, more tankiness, crits(can be proc on her Q), sheen pasive. Just 3 items makes her an mid game's stomp machine.
If ur team is doing bad, build full tank, she still has enough dmg to zone carries.
TLDR: shyvi eats boars for breakfast, and mummies for lunch.
Yeah I tried it with Kayle didn't work too well.
ReplyDeleteThe friggin defence tree with swiftness buff *_____*
ReplyDeleteWhat about Galio's buffs?
ReplyDeleteSo, Seems like I've been building her right, just been taking dmg masteries over tank masteries, so I'll try the tank ones - triforce is legit gold efficient on her? Haven't been buying it because she doesn't have mana, so just wasn't sure, will also try that one out. Thanks tho. This was really helpful.
ReplyDeleteU will thanks me after see those Q's burning half the HP the enemy ADC has... besides(triforce has a 60% win rate on her) but don't say it too loud
ReplyDeleteDarius was bugged, his E stunned for 1 second, this explains the rise of win rate this patch.
ReplyDeleteI have to agree with this one. Wukong is arguably the best ad assassin right now and mid lane is the best lane for an assassin to snowball. Also it gives him more opportunities to make plays even when behind.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry, but this Tier List is generally trash.
ReplyDeleteIt would help if you were more specific and constructive about your criticism, I can just as easily say you and everyone you love is trash but not say "why."
ReplyDeleteEh Runeglaive actually hurts Diana because she can't build lich bane any more
ReplyDeleteSome people like to spread knowledge and teach other people and aren't greedy poops like you LOL
ReplyDeleteHonestly, I could go into detail, but I have so many contentions that it isn't worth the time. Nonetheless, I appreciate the effort that goes into producing content like this.
ReplyDeleteI find it amusing how an you can take an obviously educated, reasonable adult who's otherwise cordial around the web, place him on a League of Legends related blog, and find that he's magically turned toxic. No wonder Lyte finds his job so fascinating! Well, at least you said you're sorry; apology accepted!
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like you came to this list with some preconceived expectations of where you expected the majority of champions to fall. If you check out this list I think you'd find it more suitable for your sensibilities: http://www.nerfplz.com/2015/06/solo-queue-fotm-tier-list-june-patch-511.html
ReplyDeleteIt will be updated soon for the 5.12 patch.
You can, you'll just do the Lich Bane damage instead of the Runeglaive damage.
ReplyDeleteLmao, it's like 90% the damage buff they put on W which just made her strong out of know where.
ReplyDeleteYou're bang on. I found this list afterwards and it's definitely more in line with what I expected to find. I think the issue was my search term was " 5.12 tier list".
ReplyDeleteAs to your previous comment... I've never had a chat restriction, ban or warning of any kind from Riot in 5 years of playing the game :P Gotta stick with the parlance of the scene though, right?
Haven't tried that yet, but it seems pretty inefficient
ReplyDeleteTanks
ReplyDeleteTanks
Tanks
And more Tanks.
Tank TOP, MID, ADC, SUPPORT, JUNGLE.
If you don't have 1000 health, armor, and magic resist, then you automatically lose.
Seriously though it was a tank meta but the month of June slowed them down with all the nerfs. Slowly, but surely balancing out.
I think she's really good with the Max Health and Missing Health Damage. And after using her E the damage buff is good.
ReplyDeleteI get
Runeglaive
Sorcerers Boots
Liandry's
Void
Frozen Heart
Abyysal Scepter/Locket
Max R>Q>E>W
I think Diana is strong, not sure about God Tier. How do we feel about AP fizz jungle now?
ReplyDeleteWait, AP Ez mid is still tier 3?
ReplyDeleteIt is inefficient. However, now you can get another AP item that may be more beneficial than Lich Bane, because you already have the Sheen proc
ReplyDeleteThat is actually genius, i never would have thought of it haha
ReplyDeleteWhat is alistar's state as a support right now ?
ReplyDeletenot sure what the hype for diana jungle is about. she still has zero ganking pressure pre6 and getting an early sheen doesn't suddenly make her OP.
ReplyDeletep.s if you built gnasher's tooth and/or lichbane thinking they were core items, i'm sorry.
Literally every comment thread gets ruined by this obvious bronzies comments. Give it a rest dude.
ReplyDeleteJust because u got some bronzie who's wailing away at the turret at a quarter health and let's you kill him doesn't make her a "good ganker." I can't think of a single champ that couldn't easily get away from her.
ReplyDelete
