Introduction

Have you ever felt like your marksman is low on play-making ability? Ever feel like your entire team needs to babysit you while you just right click? Hate that feeling? If that's the case, we might have just what the doctor ordered...Twisted Fate Marksman!

Featuring a powerful long-range teleport coupled with a 2 second stun every 6 seconds, Marksman Twisted Fate can scrap with the best! Check out the full details below:

How to Play
Runes: Attack Speed Quints, Attack Damage Reds, Flat Armor Yellows, Flat Magic Resist Blues
Masteries: 18-12-0, Fervor Masteries
Abilities: W, E, W, E then prioritize R > E > W > Q
Core Items: Berserker's Greaves, Infinity Edge, Runaan's Hurricane, Rapid Firecannon, Youmuu's Ghostblade, Statikk Shiv,
Situational Items: Last Whisper, Blade of the Ruined King, Mercurial Scimitar

Why It Works

Bonus Attack Speed
Via his Stacked Deck (E), Twisted Fate is granted up to 30% passive attack speed along with bonus magic damage every fourth basic attack of a maximum of 155. It's not quite as good as Vayne's scaling three-hit percentage based damage true damage, but it's considerable, especially when you stack attack speed.

Self-Peel and Excellent 1v1
Twisted Fate's 2 second gold card on a 6 second cooldown works wonders with his 1v1 abilities as well as his self peeling power. Many players don't expect the burst damage he can put it during that two second duration, but it's considerably high considering the fact that he's not a mainstream marksman.

Powerful Repositioning and Potential Initiation
Twisted Fate's signature ultimate allows him to quickly reposition in and out of fights, allowing for excellent split pushing and potential mass teleports into advantageous teamfights.

Surprising Damage
As a strange pick that's generally seen as an AP based caster, Twisted Fate as a marksman carries the potential to surprise almost any player, especially since nobody is used to his capabilities in a trade.

Potential Pitfalls

Low Attack Range
At 525 attack range, Twisted Fate only has about the same as a standard Jinx auto attack. Although this is still higher than other marksman like Lucian, Sivir, and Graves, this is definitely among the lowest base attack ranges for a champion considered low mobility.

Low Scaling Burst Damage
Other than his attack speed boost via his E, the rest of his kit doesn't scale particularly hard with AD. As a result, although he's definitely very strong at six items, he's never a burst mode type champion and does take a few hits to get going.

Low Mobility
Despite his massive one trick mobility burst, over a longer duration Twisted Fate is short on mobility when it comes to multiple gap closers. As a result, he is highly dependent on picking out the right cards for the right occasion.

Conclusions

Twisted Fate is an extremely fun marksman, especially if you can continuously draw the cards that you need while lancing auto attacks extremely quickly at the enemy team. He's definitely more difficult to play than his AP version, but arguably more fun as well.

As an AD/AS champion, Twisted Fate packs a considerable punch, despite wasting his Wild Card spell (Q). It's definitely worth playing once or twice if you've never done it before; you may be surprised at your results!

Suggested Rating: Tier 3
