Massive AOE Loves Resets

This team composition specializes in massive AOE damage in combination with resets for Twitch and Katarina, resulting in the ability to turn around and one-shot the entire enemy team instantly. It packs plenty of crowd-control and multiple threats, choosing to focus on pure AOE damage to win fights.

They'll Never See You Coming...

This team composition features the ability to group assassinate entire enemy teams even when they’re grouped. Not only do they pack incredible single-target damage, but this team also features Fiddlesticks support, providing huge longe-range kill pressure as well. Check out how the team synergizes below!

Champions
  • Kai'Sa [Bot] - As the only true high mobility assassin marksman hybrid in the game, Kai'Sa is a natural choice for long-range diving. When you combine her with Nocturne's ultimate, targetting her is difficult and killing her is even harder.
  • Leblanc [Mid] -  Placing Leblanc on this team is a dual-duty long-range assassination and poke champion (if you’re good enough). She’s extremely annoying and can easily delete someone in the span of Nocturne’s ultimate while the enemy team is still trying to figure out what direction Nocturne is coming from.
  • Fiddlesticks [Support] - As the sole source of true AOE damage on this team, Fiddlesticks is a massive disruptor to the enemy team and is capable of sending the enemy backline fleeing by himself. If you can pick up a Rylai during the course of the game, he also turns into a source of AOE crowd-control.
  • Nocturne [Jungler] - Nocturne is a true cornerstone to this team composition and is used to both dive the backline and also allows these squishy assassins to get in and do their thing without getting focused down during the course of their burst damage. As an incredibly disruptive jungler, he does rely on having dive buddies. Luckily, this team composition is in high supply of such champions.
  • Shen [Top] - A ninja by trade, Shen is capable of joining fights at a moment’s notice. He’s particularly good with this long-range squishy initiation comp and adds some huge bulk to their diving ability via his ultimate. If you sync up Nocturne and Shen ultimate, you can instantly taunt their backline for a guaranteed kill.

Key Concepts

  • Synergy is the name of the game when it comes to this team composition. The more you can sync up your various spells the stronger this team composition will be.

Countering

Countering this team involves champions that are either tanky enough to survive the initial burst or can kill them before they can kill you.

Here is an example team that may succeed:
  • Swain [Mid] - An incredibly tanky mid-laner, assassinating him would be an incredible feat. He's also got great crowd-control, meaning that enemies diving in may end up with more than they bargained for.
  • Dr. Mundo [Jungle] - Mundo goes where he pleases and on this team composition he can absolutely decimate any would-be assassins.
  • Mordekaiser [Top] - In this burst composition, Mordekaiser is the perfect peel. He can ult Fiddlesticks the second he appears and quickly dispatch him 1v1 in the shadow realm.
  • Pyke [Support] - On a team with this many squishy champions, Pyke's resets come in handy on this team composition. Normally I would suggest Janna, but this team doesn't particuarly need to disengage.
  • Xayah [Marksman] - The perfect counter to Nocturne, Xayah is the only marksman that can consistently avoid the entirety of the enemy team's burst damage. The only thing she has to watch out for is Leblanc's long-range poke assassination, especially without a fast crowd-control spell on this team.
Overall this team is also incredibly strong.
