The Lonely Master took but one apprentice in his lifetime and poured all of his wisdom into him, believing he had found a successor. When his student betrayed him, however, the Lonely Master perished—not by the blade, but from a broken heart. Thus he was doomed to search forever in vain for his lost pupil—the sole heir to his legacy.
