Five Infinity Edge Jhin? Trolling or Genius?

Jhin Guide

Multiple Infinity Edge Jhin?!

Jhin players are trying this brand new Jhin build which pretty much revolves around stacking as many infinity edges as you can afford to maximize how much raw damage Jhin can do. It sounds absurd and cheesy, but it really works! Although the screenshot below just shows Sneaky doing it, he's certainly not the one that started it...

Check out why you can do this on Jhin and get away with it below!

How to Play
Abilities: Q, W,  Q, E  then prioritize R > Q > W > E
Summoner Spells: Flash + Heal
Starting Items: Doran Blade + Heath Potion
Core Items: Boots of Swiftness, Infinity Edge, Infinity Edge, Infinity Edge, Infinity Edge, Infinity Edge

Rune Setup

How It Works

Jhin Passive Scaling
Jhin gains 0.4% per 1% critical strike chance and movement speed grants 0.25% per 1% bonus attack speed. Infinity Edge grants 25% critical strike chance and one of the highest AD on any single item on the game. This provides Jhin the absolute highest damage per item in the game.

HUGE Electrocute Damage
Electrocute scales off pure bonus AD, which means that this build does an ABSURD amount of damage when you proc it with a quick auto Q auto. This allows you to catch a lot of people off guard early on and through the mid-game.

Fourth Shot Scaling
This build provides Jhin a lot of pre-fourth shot damage, especially since Electrocute generally procs earlier from his combo. By bringing in more upfront damage, this amps up the power of his fourth shot, which generates additional damage on low-health enemies via the execute.

Damage Over Utility
This build gives Jhin less chasing power, but instead focuses on maximizing his damage, particuarly from when he ults. As a champion that generally relies on long-range sniping rather than short range chasing, this build allows Jhin to deal significantly more damage faster...provided you hit his skillshots.

Stronger Poke Damage
This build gives Jhin the ability to land lucky fourth shot bouncing grenades for massive amounts of damage. It also provides a much high level of waveclear earlier in the game, which actually works well for players who prefer a more passive laning phase and like to wait for their jungle to initiate.

Potential Pitfalls

No Ghostblade/Rapidfire Cannon
Obviously, this build is slightly lacking in utility. It doesn't give some traditional utility from items like Youmuu's Ghostblade and Rapidfire Cannon, meaning that Jhin players may experience a bit of frustration due to the lack of chase power.

Conclusions

This version of Jhin still has a high amount of chase speed from his critical strike passive proc. However, it does lack some of the utility that Jhin traditionally has. It's mostly made up for the fact that this build scales so hard into late game and Jhin's passive allows him to make full use of excess critical strike damage

Suggested Tier: Tier 1
