Instructions and Caveats:
  • This tier list details which champions are most popular in today's current metagame, for better or for worse. Selecting a high popularity champion and doing mediocre is always favorable to selecting a low tier champion and doing mediocre for team morale.

Champion Explanations

  • Ezreal [God Tier Marksman] - Ezreal in his current form is incredibly popular, both as his standard Gauntlet build and especially as his new double tear build. Although solo queue games tend to end relatively quickly around the time when he finishes up his second item, sometimes he does get his Seraph's Embrace fully stacked. At that point he becomes very comparable to the rest of the hypercarries that dominate the Rift.
  • Graves [God Tier Jungle] - Surprisingly, no Graves nerf this patch. Ever since his buffs from Patch 8.8, this ex-cigar smoking champion has been incredibly powerful when it comes to dismantling enemies from all ranges.
  • Irelia [God Tier Top] - Irelia in her current form is incredibly slippery and difficult to deal with. At best she's like a better version of Fiora and at worst she's like a faster version of Yasuo. Either way, not something you want to deal with.
  • Leblanc [God Tier Mid/Tier 2 Support] - Reverting Leblanc's kit was so popular that you might wonder why Riot even bothered changing it in the first place. In fact, she's so popular now that players are starting to revive the old Leblanc support, which is closing in on nearly 1% play rate...which is pretty high for an obscure support.
  • Lee Sin [God Tier Jungle] - Ever since the ward item changes, Lee Sin's initial drop in play rate continues to rise back to the top. Players are rediscovering his playstyle as it was pre-ward items, which happens to be just as fun.
  • Master Yi [Tier 1 Jungle] - Guinsoo's Rageblade on Master Yi continues to give him some absolutely absurd burst damage. His ability to spot an enemy champion halfway down the lane and run him down is pretty absurd. You don't want to be caught alone with him around.
  • Morgana [God Tier Support] - With the number of hypercarries in play right now, Morgana provides a much-needed CC immunity for her marksmen.
  • Rakan [God Tier Support] - When it comes to tanky engage supports, most are fairly neerfed and can't effectively compete with the ranged sustain mages. However, Rakan falls in a middle-ground and performs well against all sorts of match-ups.
  • The purpose of this list is for discussion and to provide a starting point for champion selection.
