- Champions in BOLD I will talk about shortly
- Champions UNDERLINED may be over/undervalued, but aren't/haven't played enough for me to make a better judgement.
- Within each tier the champions are strongest from left to right, but within a tier each champion's strength is relatively close. This is especially true for Tiers 2 and 3 where these champions are ALL highly playable and player dependent on how strong they are in-game.
- This tier list takes data from ALL players; however, since the majority of players fall in the first three tiers, the majority of data points will come from there.
- Win Rates are important in analyzing each champion's strength, but are not the end-all criteria for any champion's position.
- The creator of this list is diamond, so there may be some personal bias towards higher tier play on certain champions.
Champion Explanations
- Ahri [God Tier Mid] - Despite strong nerfs to Ahri this patch, she remains a strong contender and snowballs teams very hard with her strong gap closers, AOE true damage, and low CD charm.
- Azir [Tier 3 Mid] - Azir's nerfs this round were extremely effective in limiting his strength, and his 10% drop in win rate seems to indicate that he just left the balanced arena.
- Blitzcrank [God Tier Support] - With lanes becoming more and more "campy", Blitzcrank excels at creating strong openings. Where Thresh requires follow-up, Blitzcrank has the ability to simply pull enemy champions into turrets and hold them there for a few pot shots regardless of what his teammates decide to do in the meantime.
- Cassopeia [Tier 2 Top] - Even after the mana nerfs, Cassiopeia remains a strong lane bully top, and I think we'll see her rise. She's pretty much on par with Lissandra in damage potential, except Cassiopeia lacks an easy escape and is more damage than CC based.
- Diana [Tier 1 Mid] - The recent buffs to Diana were actually fairly substantial, and made her early game much more bursty and open to cheese plays. I suspect we'll start seeing much more of her soon.
- Fizz [Tier 2 Top] - As noted in the recent FOTM article, Fizz is fairly strong top lane, and although he's not a priority pick by any means, he can definitely hold his own.
- Leona [God Tier Support] - Leona is currently likely the strongest support in the game. Where Blitzcrank can make the plays, Leona makes up for it with consistency, and is essentially the strongest roamer in the game right now.
- Malzahar [Tier 1 Mid] - I see a lot of arguments on Malzahar. The fact of the matter is, Malzahar is insanely easy to play, scales very hard into late game with his percentage based damage, and snowballs very hard with his bouncing dots. Although his ultimate isn't very long, it deals a ton of damage and comes out essentially instantly from a range, and doesn't put him in the middle of a fight.
- Swain [God Tier Top] - I've decided to place Swain back to God Tier top simply because more melee champions are coming back into the fold, and Swain excels against them in ways that make many want to quit the game.
- Tryndamere [Tier 1 Top] - Tryndamere's strength right now is extremely high in solo queue simply because of his tower pushing and sustain abilities. He can choose to assist in teamfights bot lane, or simply ignore it and trade a dragon for two towers. His strategy is exceedingly simple, yet extremely effective in solo queue.
- Vi [God Tier Jungle] - With rapidly increasing mobility becoming the norm instead of the exception, Vi's actually stronger than Jarvan at the moment simply because she has the ability to lock down the high mobility champions that are dodging Jarvan's stuff. Also, she tends to be banned a lot less so feel free to main her instead.
- Wukong [God Tier Top] - Wukong's been upgraded back to God Tier top after some thought. Even after the cloth armor and ruby crystal path changes, it seems like people still favor squishy tops over tanky ones, making him a fairly safe pick at most levels for some squishy stomping. His low CD gap closer also helps he pin down high mobility champions on the rift.
- The purpose of this list is for discussion and to provide a starting point for hero selection.
Agree? Disagree? Comment below!

Personally, I think Kassadin should be higher. He has extremely good picks, mobility, and dmg late game as well as being fairly tanky. He also scales super hard and can carry games with ease once he gets rolling. Also, with ad assassins less dominant and ap casters coming in, he can survive the laning phase well with his shield. I feel like he could probably be tier 1 or 2 at least.
ReplyDeleteCan you add Diana top? I think that she is very strong pick against popular picks in top and she is played quite in % of her games.
ReplyDeleteRiot also has the added difficulty of appeasing their player base :P [see - Azir]
ReplyDeleteyou know, I've tried out fizz top quite a lot, and as mentioned in your explanation of wukong, squishy tops are the norm, which fizz just completely dominates. He's tier 1 IMHO.
ReplyDeleteBTW, Veigar support is played a lot in high elo, he does mediocre damage early, but his mid game CC + ult damage on enemy AP is insane.
You should check out mid kog again SSJ... with the removal of DFG and nerfs to assassins AP Mid Kog is a much safer pick than before as shown by its recent pick in the LCS. I know that pro players play by a different meta than yolo queue but mid kog can play safer than adc kog and I have personally had great success with it. Maybe not a tier one pick but better than its current place.
ReplyDeleteWell if you didn't make a list that people at least mostly agreed with, you wouldn't have much of a following. Haha. But yeah, Riot's got it tough sometimes.
ReplyDeleteAlso, If you don't mind I'd like to hear your more recent thoughts on Talon who has been a consistent tier 1-er for awhile. I picked him up recently to mixed thoughts.
holy crap I tried out AD fizz top lane and I went against a swain and he just owned me... I don't know how Riot thinks it's balanced to have two targeted skills that deal insane ammounts of damage. I hope to see Swain nerfed soon.
ReplyDeleteWhere's the god tier taric top?
ReplyDeleteits because he has to be literally on top of you to dish out damage. if you can avoid his stun he is pretty easy to beat.
ReplyDeleteCassiopeia should be added to support. She builds her stacks of Aspect of the Serpent faster against 2 targets, has a pretty strong slow, and her ult can stop an entire enemy team if used at the right time. She by no means is a god tier support, but try her out, I would definitely place her above Brand support.
ReplyDeleteStill no AP Alistar mid recorded on here :( He actually does quite well. Farming can be an issue but get past that and his headbutt is an easy amount of fairly high damage with no counter play and his moves stop so many initiates on ap mids who seem to rely a lot on assassinate or ccing someone to death. Easy to blow someones combo and take no damage for it. Wrecked katarinas and zeds with it as well as malz and poor little annies XD
ReplyDeleteShe's very funny.
ReplyDeleteoh my lovely moon girl is raising again! <3
ReplyDeleteI don't understand why Thresh/Lulu are considered tier 2 Supports but then Taric is Tier 1...
ReplyDeleteRiot nerfed the champions with the overloaded kits to the point where you have to use all their skills perfectly to be slightly better than average. Since it's fairly difficult to use them perfectly all the time, they tend to be below average.
ReplyDeleteSo I've been putting a lot of time into Eve. Trying out different paths, item priorities, and all the works, even tried her top lane! The biggest thing I'd like to know, in your guys'/gals' opinions... What build pathing is best for her? AD? AP? Tanky or Squishy? I ignored the AD Eve for a while but after the change on her E to physical and the DFG removal, is it that much better for her to go AD assassin or AD Tank?
ReplyDeleteThe biggest problem with malzahar is that leona and one other form of consistent CC means he can't cast his ultimate reliably. Yeah, his DoTs are really good, but its extremely hard to get him without the other team having 3 or more forms of hard CC that just shut down your ultimate (not to mention his immobility, and susceptibility to gangs at all stages of lane phase). I don't disagree that his kit is insanely overpowered, but without good protection on him, he's effectively running only 2 spells as his W is easy to whiff, and his R is almost uncastable without proper protection..
ReplyDeleteI also disagree that he's as easy as advertized, as you do sort of need to combo spells and know when is a good time to engage, as without a gang, you need to make sure all spells land to secure the kill. Considering I've had 7 mid games on the trot without jungle presence in my lane (mid gold), I still don't use him in YoloQ despite being one of my stronger champs.
Vi>J4, I said it!
ReplyDeleteIt's not a stun it's a freaking root.
ReplyDeleteOr you just suck, how about that.
ReplyDeleteMy lovely nidalee is not Jungle God anymore :(! Also this nerf dropped her mid and top.
ReplyDeleteShe's still in god.
ReplyDeleteIn my opinion, after reading the changes coming to Veigar on the PBE, if all of those changes stay, he's screwed.
ReplyDeletei respect your opinion but would prefer if u wouldnt high five your own comments. thanks
ReplyDeleteI myself am not able to see reliable dmg trough da items on her. ou would srsly need to get a few crit items to get the whole ad eve thing work .im playing her ap , with nashors(after the patch on her e) and lichbane, its reallly effective and you can easy 2-sec kill aliterlly any champ you want.Well the thing on this build is that jungling is pretty hard as an ap-eve at elast in early game . But still good luck !
ReplyDeleteI hope riot nerfs vi, not because I hate her, its becuz I can't ever use her anymore. I don‘t care if she gets weaker, i main her for a very long time and it makes me feel sad that everyone is either banning her or first picking her.
ReplyDeleteHe JUST got nerfed. in patch 5.3 or so.
ReplyDeleteI feel like i NEVER lose with Veigar... lol........ veigar AP CARRY MID.... Burst..... shrekt...
ReplyDeleteOnly if comes horrible assassin or melee counter. and now that assassin's have been nerfed... yummu!!!
Too OP *AOE Stun and loads of damage burst. NO Squishy can survive veigar's Combo... usually only Ultimate is enough. Even just W and Q chunk half of their HP... or so.
I once had fricking 1k AP :DD with veigar. in a normal game. Crazy... can be even more, but.... 1100 AP...
I actually kind agree. but they are very even. both are tier 1-god tier
ReplyDeleteI see your point as many assassins were nerfed (rip DFG), as well as some of his counter (rip Syndra's winrate) and melee ADs not being as popular (Ahri and Katarina took over mid). But unlike Ahri and such, his ability to roam is rather weak. Of course you could say that Malzahar has the same problems and you're probably right, they're still not the same champion. Malzahar is much "bulkier" and can really impact the fight throughout the whole teamfight whereas Veigar seems to be more of a burst once, then wait, then burst again. Still, his burst is not to be underestimated and can easily turn a 5v5 into a 4v5 with a good opportunity.
ReplyDeleteP.S. that's a bit way too many dots there m8
Well, if you're a skilled Veigar player, you will like him even better after the rework.
ReplyDeleteWait a minute...Urgot tier 3 top??? How could it happen? He's going to be God tier soon...I believe... :D
ReplyDeleteand how can you deal damage to him if you are not "on top of him" ? Removal of the grevious wounds, nah bro, swain is never easy to beat, especially with fizz atm.
ReplyDeleteAs a fizz and swain main the matchup favors fizz, If swain uses E to harrass fizz, fizz should then use his e re-actively and not be scared to get close to swain to even bait this out, making sure he procs the slow from his e and then proceed to auto with w procs, when swain tries to cast nevermore(his root) fizz simple q's thru swain and continues dealing damage. By dodging his e swains ult will deal less damage and therefore heal less as well. On the flip side what swain can do is simply not use e to harass and farm up, only using e after fizz either uses his e or far more likely when he engages with q, so he can faceblast him when he's charging at you but your timing has to be fast. If on the other hand no one engages or harrasses this could turn into a farm lane in which case fizz has much better roams than swain if he can push the lane, fizz has much better pushing power than swain even with just autos but insane wave clear with his E, if your playing as a swain just engage on him if he uses his e to push the wave to roam becuase he will punish your team if allowed to run around the map and come back a as a handful.
ReplyDeleteTotally agree, Katarina is the living example of "balance"
ReplyDeleteWhat do you people think Riot will do to irelia? Increasing CDs?Lowering true damage? ,She is my main top and jungle for ranked, I feel im going to be fucked up once she gets nerfed, trying to replace her in top with renek, but its a slow process, I'm quite good with renek, but not yet the monster I am when playing irelia, Truth to be told, I suck with most junglers ¿are there similar ones to try out?
ReplyDeletejarvan and vi lockdow people for the team...Fiddlesticks kill the entire enemy team and the solo the baron
ReplyDeleteJax
ReplyDeleteBut it was not a real nerf.
ReplyDeleteMay I ask where you read where Irelia is getting nerf? I'm not doubting it- but I haven't seen where they stated they would be nerfing her.
ReplyDeleteAnd with junglers, I personally like using Jarvan/Wukong as they both have gap closers/once they hit lvl 6- their gank is insanely good- Wukong is harder because he's clear is hard and you HAVE to have a hard leash starting.
Recently, I've been playing against Fiora a lot as Wukong (Wukong Top Main) and I've been having trouble beating her past lvl 4+ when it's stalematey.
ReplyDeleteLvl 1-3, I would just E + Auto Attack (Or E -> W because some tend to insta parry than Q), but once they build vamperic scepter, they hide behind minions wave and heal it all back. They slowly push me out of lane because I don't have sustain and once we both hit lvl 6- I try to wait for her to ulti but they typically end her killing me with full combo, or if I ulti she insta ulti's on me and heals back from my E -> AA -> Q -> AA combo and wasted my ulti.
I know she's a better duelist, but laning phase once she gets vamperic scepter I just can't compete anymore- tips?
Surprised to see Lissandra isn't In God Tier
ReplyDeleteUrgot top T3? Woaaaaah
ReplyDeleteNot as good anymore with no DFG
ReplyDeleteSWAIN IS BACK BABY!! Also, why isn't Yi higher/lower?
ReplyDeleteWHY IS AD EZREAL NOT ATLEAST TIER 1?
ReplyDelete-Are you starting flask for sustain?
ReplyDelete-When she ults use your Decoy to cancel it
-Take ignite for her lifesteal
-When you ult she's probably gonna ult you right back so keep that in mind
-If all else fails have your jungler gank since she has no escapes
Other than that it's possible that you're suffering build-wise (If you're rushing Tri-Force, stop it)
i wonder why karthus is tier two
ReplyDeleteimo sona tweaks made her stronger, she is not countered by morgana and thresh became more unpopular so she is god tier support with blitz and leona
ReplyDeleteIt nerfed his Q damage by 10 but it was a very small nerf. His lategame damage is practically the same.
ReplyDeleteHe's moving up in the world. Few patches from now we'll have the Urgod tier.
ReplyDeleteGood choice. T3 description is needs more skill/knowledge. My friend stll plays him as well
ReplyDeleteThanks. I've been given a couple of AD type builds as well as that AP assassin build. I will give them all a try, thank you for the help!!!
ReplyDeletereally? liking your own post?
ReplyDeleteholy shit how long have i been gone? urgot not tier 4? my life is a lie!
ReplyDeleteSo... What were the Diana "buffs"? The shield orb speed bumped her into T1??!
ReplyDeleteHi guys. I want to get better at support, and im looking for an easy to play but effective support. Ive tried Thresh but he seems so complicated, and the same goes for Janna. I seem to enjoy Blitzcrank but I just feel like an a**hole while playing with him. I would like someone to tell me who would be an easy, strong and fun support :) TY in advance :3
ReplyDeleteThe change in Diana's W surely is a buff to mid Diana, but is a nerf to jungle Diana's sustain. Do you think that it hurt her much (in the jungle)?
ReplyDeleteTwas a lapse in judgment in an effort to bring my plight to the common man. I am maining AP Kog this season and every time I pick it I receive saltiness from my team and every time I pick it I do the most damage on my team! In the current meta there are few mids who can reliably bully kog (Swain being my biggest threat at the moment). Ahri is a very common mid at the moment and I have never lost lane to an Ahri while playing kog. Might just be my elo (high silver/low gold), but seeing pro players pick kog into Ahri makes my argument seem more valid.
ReplyDeleteHe is a tricky champion to play and requires a fair amount of team coordination.
ReplyDeleteIt shouldn't be hard to bait fiora's parry pre 6. Pre 6 try to use decoy when she activates her attack speed boost so she can't take advantage of it. Post 6 you have to save your decoy for when she ults and it will switch targets to your decoy.
ReplyDeleteThis list is shit... Janna tier 1?? She is pick or ban in every fucking pro game!!!
ReplyDeleteFor a fairly easy and fun support that can carry Braum would be a great choice, or Leona if you're all about diving and snowballing. You could also play morgana because she seems to counter every support in the meta besides Sona.
ReplyDeletewhy is sivir still god tier? her bug was fixed in last patch :O
ReplyDeleteIf I'm not mistaken they said the tweaks were a glitch, which means they won't be staying long. Sona also has a huge problem with cc-heavy team comps, because her one peel is her ult. Imo she doesn't have the carry potential that other supports have once the laning phase ends.
ReplyDeleteJanna does poorly against poke/sustain compositions and well against organized dive comps.
ReplyDeleteAlso, I think this is the list you're looking for that will reflect your sensible concerns: http://www.nerfplz.com/2015/02/solo-queue-fotm-tier-list-dec-patch-52.html
Her waveclear and engage/disengage is still very good and gives her strong flexibility.
ReplyDeleteIt was not the bug that made her god tier.
ReplyDeleteYes he simply eliminated an enemy or max 2...
ReplyDeleteWhen the Orbs Detonate her shield refreshes.. since they move quicker it refreshes a lot quicker and makes her very hard to trade against
ReplyDeleteGnar tier 2?
ReplyDeleteKassa tier 3? Why?
ReplyDeleteshe get her shields so much faster , how is affecting her jungle stats? lol
ReplyDeleteShe is tier 1.
ReplyDeleteBetter question/counter question; why not? He is usable. decent..... OK... Also nerfed in last patch even.
ReplyDeleteWoah Woah Woah. No God tier Kennen top???
ReplyDeleteBlitzcrank is annoying and ''OP'' now.
ReplyDeleteGnar's Nerf and the subsequent change to his rage management / mega-gnar state, set him back quite a bit.He isn't the lane bully he was in previous patches. The timer on his Q at the lower levels was a huge change. The nerds to his damage on his Q at lower levels hurts him as well.
ReplyDeleteAlso, Gnar can't carry a team. He can try.. he can dominate.. he can get fed.. but he can't carry a team. I have a 4.3 to 1 KDA as Gnar this season and still have a low win-rate on him. There have been matches where I dominated top-lane, teleported to bot or mid to get them a kill and take that turret early. Focused objectives on my own as best I could. Gotten super-fed, 16/5/10… and we have still lost.
Why? Because people don’t know how to focus. Unlike other top-laners (Jax, Trynd, Fiora) or any carry, Gnar can’t win a game for you if everyone else is behind or playing like crap.
For low elo, which this list is aimed at, he requires a lot of coordination with his team to be successful late game. If your team isn't focused or doesn't know when you are going to go in as mega-gnar, you will just die and your team will run.
I would say he was right where he needed to be after his first round of nerfs, and he is right where he needs to be now after they changed his Mega-Gnar timers.
If this list was aimed towards Platinum or higher, he would be higher, but for Bronze-Gold.. he just can’t carry as hard as other top-laners.
If you know you are going to have a competent team though, he is God-tier. Gnar is my favorite champ. Its a bummer that he isn't quite as good as he used to be for climbing in solo queue.
Woah there, pardner. Where is above god tier teemo smiteless jungle?
ReplyDeleteI think this champions are god tier, not what you put there: Jarvan IV Nidalee Ahri Vi Irelia Lissandra Kalista Zed LeBlanc Rek'Sai Katarina Kassadin Gnar Janna Riven Fiddlesticks Pantheon Morgana Annie
ReplyDeleteinb4 urgot taric lane becomes above god tier, 101% pick/ban rate in lcs and 200% pick/ban rate in normals/ranked. Then, the great rito gods rework them both, and they fall back into tier five. The meta shifts, and they become god tier again, and as rito nerfs them along with zed ap ratios, they go back to sucking. The cycle of life and urgot continues. We will live; they will urgot.
ReplyDeleteLeona and Morg are great supports to play. Braum is good for being aggressive, but you need a pretty quick reaction time.
ReplyDeleteLeona.. if you can learn her, can keep a champion locked down for 3-4 seconds. That is more than enough time of your ADC to get a kill. Her Ultimate is amazing in team fights. I find that Leona is one of the few supports that can actually "Carry" a game. Once Leona gets to level 3 she can start being extremely aggressive, and level 6 is a guaranteed kill bot lane. Usually if I can't go ADC I go Leona support. Only Thresh and Morg counter her. Leona can snowball her lane and then start roaming, banking other lanes. It isn't uncommon for me to go 5/3/30+ in a game if I play correctly. Leona should get 3-5 assists for every team fight she is in. That is how effective she is.
Morgana is another favorite of mine. Her Q+W Combo does so much damage that if her ADC can follow up you should bully the enemy out of the lane easy. She is absolutely OP late in the game during team fights. Q + W combo, throw your spell shield on the ADC then go in, hit R and then used Zhonya's before you die. Her late-game Q does over 1k damage if built correctly and her W DoT can put serious pressure on a team. I usually get Sightstone, FQC and Mobi boots then go full AP and play her like a carry late game.
Neither of these two champions are that hard to learn.
Where is ap yasuo mid?
ReplyDeleteI think this champions are got tier, not what you put there: Poppy, Urgot, Zilean, Vayne, Udy,r Shaco, Akali, Little Mac, Master Chief, Sackboy, Kratos, Pikachu, Lil Wayne, Obama, Pocoyo.
ReplyDeletehttp://www.nerfplz.com/2015/02/solo-queue-fotm-tier-list-dec-patch-52.html
There is no point of putting different styles of the same champ and same role in the same tier list. Yasuo mid is tier 3, and almost every yasuo builds ad, so it is definetly about ad yasuo. Since ad yasuo is the better option, that's what's going on the list.
ReplyDeleteyes gnar is tier 2.... 48% winrate in solo Q
ReplyDeleteTHIS IS NOT COMPETITIVE PLAY
nerfs to his Q and recent nerfs to his mega gnar durations hurt his laning and teamfighting presence
not to mention hes one of the harder champions in this game to master.
Gnar is no where close to as strong as he used to be. Kassadin was just nerfed. Katarina, Ahri, J4, Nidalee, Fiddlesticks and Irelia are already listed as God Tier.. not sure why you mention them.
ReplyDeleteThe rest seem to be fine where they are.. please explain why you think they should move up.
Lissandra is a very strong top, but not nearly as strong as others, hence tier 1.
Rek'Sai is useless from behind.
Riven is a good solid pick, hence tier 1.
Janna can poke or shield, but thats it.
Pantheon nerfs hit him pretty hard.
Morgana is countered by one of the most popular supports in the game.
Annie is strong but she isn't mobile at all.
Zed is a high-skill cap champ who is useless if you aren't good at him.
LeBlanc is weak in team fights and late game.
Kalista is strong, but no where near as strong as the God Tier ADCs right now.
vlad creeping up 6ish spots in top lane, wont be long before he takes over the scene again.
ReplyDeleteWhat is a good Diana build?
ReplyDeleteI think that Urgot mid should be moved up. :DDD
ReplyDeleteEZREAL and VAYNE can suck my left NUT.... peace
ReplyDeleteThe typical build for Diana: You are against an AP? Abyssal. You are against an AD? Zhonyas.
ReplyDeleteThen you can build Lich Bane or the typical items for AP (Rabadon, Void, Zhonyas/Abyssal). If you plan build Lich on Diana, build it at second item.
Nashor is a good item, but is situational to the enemy composition. If you build Nashor you can build other Atack Speed items, also situational. Like Zephyr or Wit's Ends.
Morello as first item can works too, but I don't like. I preffer Zhonyas/Abyssal/RoA.
Also, I like RoA in Diana, works very well against heavy assassin or heavy cc teams.
As defensive items Rylai it's a good item. GA is perfect for Diana late + Zhonyas, provides a lot of survival.
Exactly.. Gnar is OP, as long as the rest of your team is competent.
ReplyDeleteProblem is.. no one in solo Q is competent in lower elo brackets.
vi can be as tanky as jarvan while dealing 2x as damage as jarvan for sure. Vi's w does percentage max health which is insane even if you build no damage. Imo vi is better because remember a dash of flash can escape jarvan's ulti but nothing can stop vi's ult so its much easier for the team to pile up and burst the squishy target while shes airborn. Personally in solo Q vi is better right now but in competitive 5 vs 5 jarvan is better but not by much.
ReplyDeletePost 3-Pre-5 I typically win/usually even get a kill off of her but she builds life scepter afterwards which she just heals all the harass I get off of her and I'm losing in sustain. I can bait out Fiora's parry easily but trade off I lose because she sustains it back while I'm off with less mana and all.
ReplyDeleteI also heard that Fiora's ulti got patch so it hits stealth champions now a long while back so I never bothered, is this not right?
I'm positive fiora's ult will still switch targets to your decoy if you activate it while she ults. If you can get a kill you should be at least a level ahead of her and should be able to win all in's because she's squishy, so once you get ahead just all in her the moment you see her. If you can't get ahead early you need decoy to win all ins, and if you are having trouble call your jungler, since she is squishy with no escapes it should be easy to kill her with your jungler.
ReplyDeleteWhere do u really see tristana going.. i have been playing her recently and have seen if she does not get a few kills she turns out pretty bad. nut after a few klls she is a god hyper carry
ReplyDeleteCheck out Allorim, challenger NA wukong main, he has guides where he goes over basically every matchup. smart use of W is essential
ReplyDeletei don't understand why kassadin Needs Higher Skill/Knowledge Than Usual
ReplyDeleteI think Annie support should be up at tier 1, been doing insanley great as Annie from start to end.
ReplyDeleteBut that's just a personal thought.
i think it too,she is very easy to play and later in the game she can still chunk squishies with a full combo(not 100-0 but something around 100-50),her only downside is the bad range on tibbers i think
ReplyDeleteI think the overall shield lasts slightly shorter but does damage faster, so nerf to sustain but buff to damage.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if Jinx is going to be nerfed in a couple of patches. She has a 53% win rate in solo q, which is the highest of any ADC. But I feel like the increasing amounts of mobility and cc (Vi, Liss, Kass, etc) may keep her down...
ReplyDeleteTibbers range is actually perfectly fine, even if the cast range is shorter, since it has a large aoe.
ReplyDeleteYeah Allorim is my favorite streamer/LoL Youtuber and I've watched a lot of his plays- his latest Fiora play was almost a year ago (Noting that he also got a great lead start on Fiora because Rengar camped for 2 kill head start)
ReplyDeleteI have no problem taking down Fiora if I get a good headstart and zone her out nice enough (If I can get a pickaxe by the time she has a Vamp Scep I can typically win), but when it's stalematey and the jg refused to gank than she zones me out due to the sustain
Yeah I've read up and so frustrated- I found out Fiora ult will follow up on you, but it will do no damage (So Blade Waltz still continues), friend either misunderstood or lied to me about Fiora and I've been having the biggest difficulty because I assumed Decoy no longer works.
ReplyDeleteI understand what you're talking about, thanks mate. I kind of have to rely on jg'ers to come and gank at the point of her getting vamp scep.
apparently she now has ANOTHER bug where on hit effect spells can go though the shield (gp, irelia, fizz, ezreal)
ReplyDeletewell the tweaks are reverted on PBE, they were never intended
ReplyDeleteAm i the only one who plays diana as a burst ap? Never liked building nashor on her, cause i like to 100-0 people with her combo instead of auto attack to proc her passive.
ReplyDeleteCause if you ult a few times you are left wit virtually no mana. And of course his pre-six isn't the greatest unless you know when to time your q to block damage. And then comes the whole argument of AD mid lanes...
ReplyDeletei play diana as an assasin like you say, i hate nashor or roa for her. try to use lich bane if you like dat assasin style with diana if you dont build it already, your dmg will be absurd. you can put a morello, a zhonya, or a deathcap before the lich bane and i think you can try an abysall but i dont like it
ReplyDeleteDon't know if i buy a tanky jg (jarvan, vi) or a tanky sup (leona). Any tips bros?
ReplyDeleteI haven't played with her in some time, but i used to build her like this: DFG, Rabadon, Abyssal, Zhonya and lich (and some fabulous shoes of course). I remember bursting people to dust under 2 seconds. Damn she's op
ReplyDeleteP.S.: I miss you DFG my love, you'll always be on my heart. R.I.P
To me the reasons J4 is better are 1.) His flag is a free ward, and it gives an AS buff to your whole team. 2.) Wombo combos, IF you have a J4 with rumble, wukong, orianna, Gnar, its insane. 3.) HIs early ganking is a tad bit better because his passive is just stupid. To me he can outdamage Vi during a level 3 gank, maybe not on a 1v1 though.
ReplyDeleteSSJ, I think you need to check out Fizz top and jungle more, specifically AD fizz. Hear me out here, Fizz W does 8% missing hp on hit, paired with a reinforce being proced off Fizz's q engage, he can melt even tanks. Fish's new multi change ALSO works with AD, it's a 20% increase in all damage, not just AP. I've been playing it for days now and it's rare that I'm not going 20 kills plus a game and carrying to victory. (Gold elo)
ReplyDeleteVi, 100%. Such a monster right now. Her damage is back, and she's tanky again. She farms extremely fast, and sustains well too. I usually go for a dragon at lvl 5. Can 1v3 if ahead.
ReplyDeletewhy isnt nocturne mid in this teir list, he has so much mobility and good roams with his ult along with the abilty to solo his lane opponent with his combo and huge burst. aong with being able to 1 shot the enemy carry i think he should really be put into consideration around teir 3ish.
ReplyDeleteLearning a tank support is a really good thing for solo Q supporting. Depends what role you like more. A good leona can carry games.
ReplyDeleteYou answered your own question. :) The trade-off is the less mobility. Play things that jump on her, she loses.
ReplyDeleteThe downside with Annie support at the moment is her squishiness and popularity of champions like Blitzcrank and Leona.
ReplyDeletejarvan might be a strong buy because he can do so much damage with just one dmg item and go full tank, peel for carries, fast jungle clear all in one kit!
ReplyDeleteomfg, top lane is all wrong. I main top since season 2, I'm finished diamond 1 (Not master, but I tried) and I can tell you God Tier makes no sense. Swain is BAD in this meta (morello), sion is fine, but tier 1, not god. Jarvan is tier 2~~3 and Rumble, fiora, nasus, kennen and riven belong to god.
ReplyDeleteI was actually worried since I want to play her more.
ReplyDelete;)
Swain isn't bad, in this meta he's good against almost every top laner (melee), and morellonomicon has been nerfed, sion is in the bottom of god so not too much difference from tier 1. Jarvan is definetly not tier 3 top, but imo not as good as he is in the jungle, maybe tier 2 or low tier 1.. Rumble has too high skill cap to be god tier, fiora is already god, and I agree on the rest.
ReplyDeleteleona support or
ReplyDeleteYou would be better off learning things with dashes like Corki or Lucian/Graves. Because they can't always be shut down with just a team comp. Then again, i know people who are jinx mains and do just fine.
ReplyDeleteThis is a regular tier list, not meta.
ReplyDelete.
She is insane she will eventually be nerfed, what i meant was "in the case she gets nerfed"
ReplyDeleteJ4 has consistently been strong for as long as I can remember so he is a safe champ to pick up. Leona has her ups and downs depending on the meta and Vi is a little more comp oriented. J4 is a good pick for almost any team.
ReplyDeleteJ4 and Kog mid should be bumped up. The cheese factor and recent changes to mid makes them more viable.
ReplyDeleteI have already played a solid amount of both Graves and Lucian in the past, so I wanted to play something different. And I absolutely hate Corki. :D
ReplyDeleteNocturne mid is quite strong now, eventually all the mid laners that are God will get nerfed and bring nocturne mid to be stronger than ever. I think Noc mid should be Tier 3 or higher
ReplyDeleteBeen thinking the same thing too
ReplyDeleteStill think Sej is better than Fidd, and Nid.
ReplyDeleteDiana don't gets an new shield, it just refreshes, so, you should use maximum potential from the shield before it refresh, so, when it refresh, the shield will absorb more damage than if it has refreshed faster.
ReplyDeleteTry Triforce AND botrk. Watch Everyone melt when W is activated...
ReplyDeleteYeah I'm editing it to include example build.
ReplyDeleteu took my status :( but u got a reply so thats good, i didnt get shit on mine XD
ReplyDeleteYou got some likes doe! :D
ReplyDeleteSure his ult does have a long cooldown, but whenever you do have it, things get quite scary. His fear is good for a disengage more than anything. Let's give someone like Zed for example, if he jumps on you with his Shadow, you can fear to disengage, however if they do stay you may Win trades and such. Sure though non-instant cc's aren't the best but better than nothing. Mid lane is mostly about Caster based champions (most of the time) and his spell shield comes in quite handy most of the time. His Q is decent/OK for a poke but high mana costs (You could always buy crystalline flask for a starters item) His passive helps him sustain in lane and win trades. But yeah there are both postives and negatives to nocturne mid. But I believe that he could be a potential tier 3 mid laner in my opinion and I also respect your opinion. Thank you for the reply.
ReplyDeleteI main Di and usually go abyssal or zhonyas first depending on matchup at mid. 2nd is almost always lich bane and sorc boots. If in the jungle it's not too different with the exception of going stalker's blade + magus. For the remaining items I usually go death cap or rylai's or void staff depending on what's needed. Sometimes nashor's but not as often.
ReplyDeleteWhy don't you make a tier list for all levels of play? This tier list is only bronze - gold?
ReplyDeletelol yeah
ReplyDeleteActually, I think there's about 300k in Bronze
ReplyDeleteThe FOTM list can pretty much be used as a higher level of play tier list.
ReplyDeleteYou can't really base that on a tier list, any champion can be good with a team that compliments each other.
ReplyDeleteCan we please get an explanation about god tier top lane Sion?
ReplyDeleteI can't find any recent high elo replays playing sion top on youtube and would love an explanation why he is god tier
He does a ton of damage while still building tanky, super strong initation, CC lock, and good waveclear.
ReplyDeletepls add mid quinn and jungle quinn. she's viable in both lanes. Yeah, vault is risky, but have the burst that a midlaner requires and clearning speed the jungle needs. The path at devourer and stattik his high. she's a good roamer and a mid asassin, autoattack-counter. As we saw at TF, range is a good thing in jungle. So see, how about a n extra soft cc? You can clear buffs with ~10% hp, cus of the blind. Neither the demon-chickens can beat you. Now, back to mid. She's ungakeable. Roams extremely and can beat turrets after a kill with laners. she HAVE a hard cc, an interrupt, and a soft one: Blind. Please, mind it.
ReplyDelete........ jungle quinn LOL
ReplyDeleteHow are you diamond 1 and say that fiora is god tier??? Shes shockingly bad especially in higher elos. im confused
ReplyDeleteNot only is he a super safe lane pick for the most part. He deals a decent amount of damage and has been getting heavy looks in the pro scene in both NA and in Korea. His only flaw is that he can be out played a bit easier than most others but it takes a lot to take him down.
ReplyDeleteWhat jungler should i learn that can easily carry in low elos and splitpushes really well?
ReplyDeleteYup I have to say I like Tryndamere .... top. But only problem is teamfights or so... teamfighting and mobile enemies are a problem. Need to be able to AA (basic attack) in peace and/or split push etc.
ReplyDeleteBlitzcrank is bs for bronze..
ReplyDeleteTryndaMere, Master YI. My opinions.
ReplyDeleteyuhp... nowadays. I remember when before, there were more people in Bronze than Silver? I think so. But during the past few years or so, silver has become more populated. it's a real struggle in silver... damn... When you are old school player and you play with these ''just got LVL 30'' people or people who have only a couple hundred normal wins; not much experience. Some people get lucky in placements and get to silver; and even higher silver sometimes
ReplyDeleteSplitpush h in low elow sucks coz u have to trust in your mates to don't fight or to engage them 3v4 but you won't be in the fight and it sucks since the split push get nerfed by 2 big patches with the double turret shield.
ReplyDeleteBy the win you will need strong team fighters to carry low elo like this list explains.
I was unranked, i did 6/4 and i fell Silver 2 :O
ReplyDeleteHah!!! Yeah thats a good example. crazy stuff. that high of a rank start. yup.
ReplyDeleteI agree!!!! I hate fiddlesticks enemies though when they co-ordinate their ult and Fear rustles my jimmies
ReplyDeleteI know right? :-( yhyyhhyy.. teams.... they dont know how to defend or pick enemies
ReplyDeleteAnd ow gold 3 jungle main : http://www.lolking.net/summoner/euw/52257048#ranked-stats :P
ReplyDeletesejuani you barely survive in jungle with the best runes, you will need to go back every 2 camps at low level.
ReplyDeletenidalee require you to be good at skillshots else if you just get 1/3 spears your dps is 3 times smaller then your team.
Sivir/Jinx are only on god tier because they are counters to graves.
Sion top is useless, you are like a Mundo top.
Wukong is decent, but you lose lane and is just used for the ultimate.
Swain top is just a counterpick to Lissandra.
Blitzcrank is useless if you get 1/3 of the hooks.
Leona/Braum don't expect to win lane ever, only if enemy team are stupid and overextends in turet.
Can you make an FAQ section and explain how you make this tier list?
ReplyDeleteThe closest fit I can find for that would probably be either rengar or wukong. I'd recommend wukong over rengar as he easier to play, but as a rengar main if you put the time into him he can carry and splitpush with ease.
ReplyDeleteJust remember on both champions, hydra into bruiser is arguably the best stratergy but tgey are both very good assassins as well (trinity force op)
do u not think that support veigar should be abit higher? i think he very strong since his E is a huge AOE stun and a great zoning ability.they pick it in the LCK alot.
ReplyDeleteshe has got 0 moblity but her kit works so well around this and this is why she is so strong
ReplyDeleteI know exactly why she is strong, I was just thinking out loud.
ReplyDeletelook at her win rate in higher elos and tell me shes bad in high elos. If you look at ranked 5s however her win rate isn't so high. She is bad in 5s but in all levels of solo queu shes good.
ReplyDeleteSSJ pleaseee, im really tired of playing adc, can U please tell me which role should I main to carry my team? Cause it seems adc is not the best option. Thanks!!!
ReplyDeleteQuinn is simply gimmicky in every lane, it's why she needs either substantial buffs or a rework. Mid lane Quinn was largely a flavor of the week when the "dark horses" things came out, I am yet to have seen it ever since. Even if it were still a thing that people did with any form of regularity, she gets outclassed hard by most mid laners, because what does a caster care about blind? As far as ADC mids are concerned, Ezreal and Corki perform far better than her, and when it comes to Any AD mid those do as well. Zed and Talon come to mind. All AD champs will take towers quickly.
ReplyDeletethat TSM game also showcased everything you'd want to see about Sion top lane's strengths. With how huge dyrus got, both literally and in terms of tankiness, I'm pretty sure he tanked both nexus turrets while they destroyed them to finish the game.
ReplyDeleteI'd actually argue that a halfway decent Zed will shadow mark you and apply enough damage to kill you before that fear even goes off.
ReplyDeletestop saying that, i need my freelo to remain freelo.
ReplyDeletethe dyr
ReplyDeleteFinally Swain has taken his rightful place in godtier
ReplyDeletei just witnessed a fed sion on enemy team, even though i had a triple and a quad, i still cant take him down, like wow.
ReplyDeletenoooooo not my other freelo too
ReplyDeleteJungle>Mid>Top>Adc>=Supp
ReplyDeletefizz top better than swain top.
ReplyDeletegl trying to convince me
Looks right to me.
ReplyDeleteI will say that sejuani can't 1v1 nobody not like fiddle but i didn't play her since s3 and i could be wrong.
ReplyDeleteXin for sure! I carry with him almost every game I play him. Hes easy to play and has insane push and gank potential. Just my two cents.
ReplyDeleteHe used to do team comps but hadn't done any for a couple months. He should do a new one for the new season because a lot has changed.
ReplyDeleteWithout forget the dragon/baron calls and smites which are as important as ganks for me. In low elo some junglers does'nt know how to smite/steal objectives and it's desesperating.
ReplyDeleteYeah Vi surely is on the spotlight now, my only fear is if riot nerfs her right after i buy her. Jarvan seens more consistent than vi and leona. I appreciate all the replys, gonna take into consideration when the moment to take the decision arrives
ReplyDeleteDidn't you just also describe ma
ReplyDeleteMalphite's waveclear is much lower in comparison and doesn't have as much utility when his ultimate is down.
ReplyDeleteWouldn't really agree with God Tier supports and with the fact that Braum & Thresh are Tier 2. Their lowest Tier can be Tier 1 because Braum has the best kit to peel his ADC while thresh has a kit which he can use for both things: to play aggressive or/and peel for his ADC. While Leona and Blitz are both easy to outplay. If I pick Morgana against both blitz and leona - they're worse than useless. If I can't pick morgana I can outplay both of them with alistar by pushing their ADC away with my W and holding back with Q. Thresh same thing: Everytime blitz pulls my ADC I can both Flay his ADC away and pull Blitz to me for some harass on him. Using Braum: Everytime he pulls my ADC I have my W to jump in on my ADC and cast my E immediatly. So my ADC will go untouched. No offense, but in my opinion God Tier supports aren't worth the place they're in.
ReplyDeleteThis may be a stupid question but why is liss not higher then zed in tier 2 since she counters him pretty hard?
ReplyDeleteCounters don't apply to ranking in the tier list. Besides, everyone in the same tier has relatively the same amount of impact on a game if you have the same amount of experience on each. If two champs are right next to each other on a tier list the power difference isn't noticeable.
ReplyDeleteSame way, a half-decent Nocturne is gonna shield that Deathmark.
ReplyDeleteAmumu, Malphite, Master Yi..... when you say low elo do you mean silver or like wood 5.
ReplyDeleteMalphite's damage kinda sucks without some amount of AP
ReplyDeletesry, but could u explain me how the hell ashe is tier1 ? i mean, according to this tier list, ashe is better than tristana and ezreal.
ReplyDeleteBut overall rly nice to have a tier list, gj mate :)
PD: i think u should try to add ad ezreal mid in this tier list, he is being played a lot in the NA lcs and LCK
@SSJSuntastic , I think you need to check out Fizz top and jungle more, specifically AD fizz. Especially with adding Ad jungle fizz to the list. Hear me out here, with AP Fizz being nerfed, AD is a lot more viable, especially with the ulti changes. Fizz W does 8% missing hp on hit, paired with a triforce being proced off Fizz's q engage, he can melt even tanks. Fish's new ulti change ALSO works with AD, it's a 20% increase in all damage, not just AP. I've been playing it for days now and it's rare that I'm not going 20 kills plus a game and carrying to victory, consistently beating out other more "meta" or higher tier picks. (Gold elo)
ReplyDelete(Also Fizz's W damage isn't capped on monsters, so jungle is rather easy.)
Edit: This post is mostly about full AD Fizz. Q also procs bortk, so an example build would be triforce, bortk, infinity edge. Or for jungle, devourer, triforce, bortk. Situational after those core items.
Shaco. Go AD marks. AD Seals. AP Glyths. Movement Speed Quints. 27-0-3 Masteries.
ReplyDeleteStart at a buff and clear without smite. After this run towards the nearest enemy buff and use Q to invis over the dragon wall. Go in with smite and steal their blue buff and if low kill them, then snowball the lanes. GG, you just left low elo.
Been playing Master Yi Mid with Flask start and waiting for 5 HP bots in the base and TP'ing mid. The lane is pretty fucking unfair, if you are smart you will grossly outfarm and outscale the opponent and do free undodgeable damage with Q, great roam potential, you will get camped I find though.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad that you are a good thresh but I have had too many experiences with bad thresh's to trust them in yoloqueue.
ReplyDelete
