Nautilus Patch Changes + Nautilus Skillset

The Nautilus Patch Changes are out! The Shen buffs are finally live, and some somewhat surprising nerfs on Sona and Soraka, although seeing how they're pretty much in every single game it might have been expected.

Vladimir still getting some tweaks since he's still anti-fun in some cases, but Riot seems to be doing a very good job keeping him playable.

Shen - BUFFS
  • Will now scale better the entire game
  • Vorpal Blade heal scales of Shen's maximum health, even for allies 
  • Ki Strike's health scaling amount is increased
  • Shadow Dash causes taunted targets to do reduced damage
    • Restores Energy based on how many enemies are taunted
  • Autoattacks will lower the cooldown of Ki-strike and regenerates energy
  • While Feint shield is up, energy restoration of Ki-strike is doubled
Sona - NERFS
  • 1~4 auras are reduced in power, but rank 5's aura is just as powerful
  • Promotes "specialization"
Soraka - Changes
  • Starcall + Astral Blessing mana costs are tweaked
  • Infuse gives more mana, but no longer gives mana back to Soraka. She also can't cast it on herself anymore.
Vladamir - NERFS
  • Bonus healing on tides of blood and damage amp from his ult are both lowered
Personally I'd kind of glad Sona and Soraka are getting some nerfs, since my favorite support (as some of you already know) is Janna <3



As for the Nautilus skillset, the official release is below:

Abilities:
  • Staggering Blow (Passive) – Nautilus’ first basic attack against a target deals bonus physical damage and immobilizes the opponent briefly. Staggering Blow cannot trigger on the same target more than once every 12 seconds.
  • Dredge Line - Nautilus throws his anchor forward. If he hits an enemy, he'll drag himself to his target and his target to him. If he hits terrain, he'll drag himself to the terrain and the cooldown is reduced.
  • Titan’s Wrath - Nautilus places a shield on himself that absorbs additional damage based on his maximum health. While the shield is active, Nautilus' attacks deal damage over time to units around him.
  • Riptide - Nautilus slams the ground, causing the earth to ripple out in waves. Each wave deals damage and slows the targets hit. This slow decays over time. Multiple waves that hit the same target deal reduced damage.
  • Depth Charge (ultimate) – Nautilus launches a depth charge towards a target that picks up speed as it travels. This charge knocks up all enemies it encounters while traveling and explodes on impact, stunning the target and launching them into the air.

  1. I don't like them Vlad nerfs... Honestly, while I don't care much for nerf on E (okay, I care a bit), but lowering bonus damage lowers not only Vlad's output, but whole Vlad's team dmg output.

    Soraka's on the other hand has a really nice set of changes, they pretty nicely resolved the issue.

    As for Sona... Well, it might not be so bad, have to see numbers first.

  2. Silly me, forgot to comment on Shen:
    I'm really glad with Guinsoo's work there, Shen got a lot more synergy and probably will scale much more nicely into late game.

    Still, honestly, I miss release Shen, before they stupidly buffed him.
