Hey folks, the latest tier list is now available! Sorry for the late update, I was out of town for a bit. Meanwhile, this patch looks like there was relatively little in the way of changes for mid and bot lane, but quite a few shifts in the top and jungle meta. With the new Cinderhulk buff, your favorite utility junglers are ready to jump back into the fray.Check out the full list below!

Instructions and Caveats:
- Champions in BOLD I will talk about shortly
- Champions UNDERLINED may be over/undervalued, but aren't/haven't played enough for me to make a better judgment.
- Within each tier, the champions are strongest from left to right, but within a tier each champion's strength is relatively close. This is especially true for Tiers 2 and 3 where these champions are ALL highly playable and player dependent on how strong they are in-game.
- Win Rates are important in analyzing each champion's strength but are not the end-all criteria for any champion's position.
- Professional Picks may not necessarily translate into good picks for solo queue ladder, the two have slightly different meta-games and skill levels.
- The creator of this list is diamond, so there may be some personal bias towards higher tier play on certain champions.
Champion Explanations
- Blitzcrank [God Tier Support] - Blitzcrank has always been an extremely powerful support, capable of changing the tide of games by himself. However, now that he's been sanctioned as a professional level pick, maybe we'll see some nerfs to his kit in the near future.
- Draven [God Tier Marksman] - Draven's been quite a powerhouse for a while now. Once he gets Death's Dance he's virtually unkillable, and he synergizes incredibly well with both peel supports and with all-in supports. As a result, first picking him for your team is naturally a very safe bet, and if Caitlyn is banned out he can quickly snowball through a lane.
- Jarvan IV [God Tier Top] - The Prince of Demacia continues his slow rise through top lane as a powerful potential counter to blink-less marksmen like Draven and Twitch. his powerful armor reduction spells also work extremely well in this high damage marksman meta.
- Malzahar [God Tier Mid] - Malzahar is an extremely safe lane bully that can quickly scale out of control in the mid to late game once he gets two or three items. His ability to take out half a marksman's HP with a single bouncing dot makes him very potent in the chaos of a solo queue team fight. His ultimate is also very good, especially when combined with Ionian Boots and the resolve tree mastery for extra Flash cooldown reduction time.
- Maokai [Tier 1 Top] - As far as Maokai goes post rework, his ultimate's always been a somewhat lackluster spell as a result of its incredibly slow move speed. However, now that they've increased the range by 20%, he can reach the end of the lane more often, resulting in engages that actually work rather than simply saving it for counter-engages.
- Nunu [God Tier Jungle] - Nunu's always been very strong, but this patch he's especially broken with the buff on Cinderhulk. By increasing the bonus health multiplier, Nunu is tankier than ever before, effectively rendering him unkillable mid to late game. Combine this with nerfs on Kha'Zix (the second most popular jungler), Nunu is extraordinarily strong now.
- Rammus [Tier 1 Jungle] - Improved dance moves were a great addition to Rammus' kit, but it's really the Cinderhulk buff that's leading him to victory this patch.
- Riven [Tier 1 Top] - I'm moving Riven down a bit simply because as many of you identified, she does need some significant practice to be good and win with. As a result, I'm moving her down to Tier 1 for now.
- Trundle [Tier 2 Top] - Trundle buffs should have helped him quite a bit, but the main problem is that top lane meta champs are still largely glass cannon duelists rather than the tank meta champions that Trundle excels against.
- Zac [God Tier Jungle] - Even though we may never see him played again with the 10-ban system, Zac continues to be quite strong in the current meta. However, you'll rarely experience it, so he might not be worth practicing on the off-chance someone forgets to ban him.
- The purpose of this list is for discussion and to provide a starting point for champion selection.
