Some champions are worth one more queue at 1 a.m., even after a losing streak. Here are ten of them, two for every role.

Every pick on this page has a play you can practice for a month and still grin at when it lands. None of them are troll picks. They're on-role champions you can take into ranked tonight.

Two Picks for Every Role

2026 Edition

Some champions are worth one more queue at 1 a.m., even after a losing streak. Here are ten of them, two for every role.

Top Lane

Riven icon

Riven: Practice You Can Feel

Riven is the champion people mean when they say a kit has depth. Her damage comes from weaving basic attacks between short dashes, and a Riven who cancels the animations properly gets her whole combo out before the other player can answer it.

Nobody gets that right in their first week. That's the appeal. On day thirty a trade you used to lose ends with the other top laner walking back to base, and you can point at exactly which button you got better at.

Camille icon

Camille: Every Wall Is a Launch Pad

Hookshot [E] grabs a wall and throws her off it, so every corridor on the map turns into an angle somebody didn't ward. Once she lands on a target, her ultimate drops them in a zone they can't leave by any means until it ends. Pick her if you like the feeling of choosing exactly one person to ruin.

Jungle

Kha'Zix icon

Kha'Zix Redesigns Himself Mid-Game

Each time his ultimate ranks up, Kha'Zix evolves one of his abilities, and the order you choose changes how the rest of the game plays. Jump farther, or stay invisible longer? You decide based on what the enemy team looks like.

He also punishes anyone caught on their own. A jungle full of solo farmers is a buffet, and hunting the enemy laner who wandered too far from his team never gets old.

Briar icon

Briar, Who Takes the Wheel Away From You

Blood Frenzy [W] makes Briar taunt herself onto the nearest enemy, champions first, and she sprints at them whether that was a good idea or not. Her ultimate is the same idea on a bigger scale. She launches herself at the first champion it hits and sends everyone nearby running in fear. Then she chases that one target until somebody dies.

It's chaotic. Half the fun is starting a fight you're fairly sure you'll lose and watching it turn around because she heals off every bite.

Sylas icon

Sylas Plays Whatever the Enemy Brought

No two Sylas games look alike, because his ultimate is a copy of someone else's. Take an enemy Amumu's and throw it back at Amumu's own team. Take a global from a Shen and show up somewhere he never expected.

Champion select becomes a shopping trip. You're reading five loading screen cards and quietly picking out your favorite before the game starts.

Ekko icon

Ekko and the Undo Button

Chronobreak [R] rewinds Ekko to wherever he stood a few seconds ago and heals him for part of the damage he took in that window. So you dive the backline and soak far too much damage. Then you vanish back to safety, and everyone standing near your arrival point eats a burst on the way. Being reckless with an undo button is a very specific kind of fun, and he's built on it.

ADC

Draven icon

Draven: A Juggling Act With a Scoreboard

Draven's axes bounce off his target and fly into the air, and if he catches one it's ready to throw again. Every catch also stacks Adoration, which he cashes out as bonus gold the next time he kills a champion.

So the whole game is a running tally of how stylish you've been. It even feeds his ultimate. With enough stacks, Whirling Death [R] executes anyone it would leave low enough. Drop the axes and you're a worse marksman. Keep them spinning and you're the loudest player in the lobby.

Ezreal icon

Ezreal Is Skillshot Practice That Never Ends

Nearly everything Ezreal does is aimed. Mystic Shot [Q] trims all of his cooldowns whenever it hits, so landing shots is how he keeps casting. His blink lets him take fights other marksmen can't. He came out in 2010 and people still queue him just to see how many they can hit in a row.

Support

Thresh icon

Thresh, the Hook and the Lantern

A good Thresh game has two highlight reels. One is hooks: Death Sentence [Q] pulls an enemy in, and pressing it again yanks Thresh onto them. The other is saves. Dark Passage [W] throws a lantern your teammate can click to dash straight to him, which turns a dead marksman into a living one about once a game.

He also collects souls from enemies who die near him, and they give him armor and ability power for good. Scooping them up between fights is a little side quest nobody else in the lobby has.

Pyke icon

Pyke, the Support Who Gets Kills on Purpose

Supports usually hand kills away. Pyke takes them. Death From Below [R] teleports him to anyone below a health threshold and executes them, then lets him cast it again if a champion dies inside it. And when he executes someone, the last ally who assisted gets kill gold too, so your marksman doesn't mind.

He can't gain bonus health from anything (it turns into attack damage instead), and he recovers recent damage while he's out of sight. You play him like an assassin who happens to start in the support slot.

Questions People Ask

What's the most fun champion in League of Legends?

From this list, Sylas. His ultimate is a copy of an enemy's, so every game hands him a new toy. Hundreds of games in, champion select still feels like opening a present.

What's the most fun support champion?

Pyke if you want kills, Thresh if you want the saves. Both reward practice for years.

Are fun champions bad for climbing?

Every one of these ten is a normal pick for its role, so you can climb on any of them once the hard part clicks.

What if I want something sillier?

Our troll picks lists go role by role and stick to off-meta champions that still win. Links are just below.
