Arena only asks you to finish in the top four of eight duos. That leaves a lot of room for pairs that make the whole lobby laugh.

Funny Arena Duos
Pairs That Still Finish Top Four
ArenaArena only asks you to finish in the top four of eight duos. That leaves a lot of room for pairs that make the whole lobby laugh.
These are the funniest Arena duos we know that still place. Some lean on two kits that were never meant to meet. Two of them are an augment and whoever you queued with.
Shaco + Neeko: Count the Shacos
Neeko can disguise herself as an ally champion, and in Arena she only has one ally. So she walks into round one looking exactly like Shaco. Then Shaco casts his ultimate and adds a clone of his own. Now the enemy duo is staring at three Shacos with no idea which one is real (and Neeko still has Shapesplitter [W] for a spare decoy).
The finisher is Pop Blossom [R], which she can charge up in secret while disguised. One of the fake Shacos jumps in the air and stuns everybody. It's the funniest duo on this page by a distance, and it wins plenty of rounds because the other team spends the first five seconds hitting the wrong targets.
Kayle + Master Yi: Yi Gets a Bodyguard From Heaven
Master Yi runs straight at somebody. That's the plan every round. Kayle's job is to press Divine Judgment [R] on him right as the enemy duo commits. He's invulnerable for the exact window they spent their burst on, and the blast at the end hits everyone standing around him. Yi players love it because it feels like cheating. Everyone else in the lobby hates it for the same reason.
Nunu & Willump + Yasuo: The Snowball Delivery Service
Yasuo needs an enemy in the air before Last Breath [R] does anything. Nunu & Willump roll a snowball that knocks up whatever it crashes into, and the longer it rolls the longer the knock-up lasts. Put those together and someone gets sent flying by a giant snowball, then finds a Yasuo standing on them before they land.
Arena maps are small enough that the snowball rarely has far to travel (which is good, since it doesn't turn well). Expect a lot of misses too. They're half the comedy.
Zilean + Kindred: Two Ways to Refuse Dying
Lamb's Respite [R] blesses a patch of ground where nothing can die. Chronoshift [R] puts a rune on an ally that rewinds them and brings them back if they'd have died anyway. Stack them and the enemy has to burn through two separate death cancels before either of you actually goes down.
Kindred's zone keeps the enemy alive too, which leads to some very confused fights. Use it when you're the duo losing the race.
Yuumi + Olaf: A Cat Riding a Berserker
Once Olaf hits his ultimate he shrugs off every stun and root and keeps running at people. Yuumi sits on his head the whole time, untargetable while attached, healing him as he goes. The enemy has nothing to stop him with and nothing to shoot at instead. It's a one-person duo with a passenger.
Seraphine + Sona: The Two-Piece Band
Two musicians, two ultimates that lock people down. Encore [R] charms everyone it touches, and when it passes through an ally the wave keeps going farther. Crescendo [R] stuns whoever's in front of Sona. Fire them back to back and the other duo spends the whole fight listening.
Between the ultimates you've got two sets of heals and shields sitting on each other, which keeps a pair of very squishy champions alive far longer than they deserve.
Anyone + Chauffeur: Everyone Gets to Be Yuumi
Chauffeur attaches you to your ally for good, and you can't move on your own. Your bonus move speed goes to them, and you pick up ability haste and attack speed for your trouble. Take it on anything and Arena turns into a piggyback race. A Malphite riding his partner into the middle of a fight is a sight nobody forgets.
If you want the reverse, Castle gives you a summoner spell that swaps places with your ally and shields you both on the way.
Anyone + Oathsworn: Throw Your Partner at Them
Oathsworn replaces Flee with Kalista's Fate's Call [R]. Your ally goes untargetable for up to four seconds and then launches themselves out, knocking back whoever's in the way. It saves a partner who's about to die. Mostly it gets used to fire a tank into the enemy backline, and the timing never stops being funny.
Questions People Ask
What's the funniest duo in Arena?
Shaco and Neeko. The enemy duo ends up fighting three Shacos, and they usually hit the wrong one first.
Do troll duos actually win in Arena?
More often than you'd think. A top-four finish out of eight counts as a win, so a duo that's funny and merely decent still places most games.
Which augments make any duo funnier?
Chauffeur and Oathsworn, from this page. Mad Scientist is worth a look too: each round starts with you either huge and tanky or tiny and quick.
Is Arena still in League of Legends?
Yes. It came back on June 25, 2025 with Patch 25.13 and Riot hasn't announced an end date. Our LoL game modes page tracks what's live right now.
