Every Pass Live Right Now
Patch 26.18League has five passes running at once this September, and three of them want RP from League players. Here's what each one costs and when it closes, plus which kind of player actually gets their money's worth.
Open the client this week and you'll find the Season 3 pass, the League Classic pass, the Hall of Legends pass for Caps, a free ARAM: Mayhem track and, one tab over, the TFT Pass+. That's five. Add the orb bundles and Sanctum that share those screens and you can see where people got to six.
What surprised us was the order they end in. The Classic pass shuts off on September 22, almost two weeks before anything else, and any coins you haven't spent disappear with it.

League Classic Pass: Act I
| Premium pass | 1,550 RP |
|---|---|
| Bundles | 2,799 RP (40 of Classic's 60 launch champions), 4,437 RP, 9,412 RP |
| Runs | July 29 to September 21, 11:59pm PT. Shuts off September 22, 11:59pm PT |
| Structure | Six tiers, bought with Classic Pass Coins |
This one doesn't work like a normal pass. There's no XP bar. Classic games and Classic Missions pay out Classic Pass Coins, you spend them on whichever rewards you want in your current tier, and spending 125 coins opens the tier above.
Everyone can climb all six tiers for free. The premium pass adds extra rewards inside those tiers and releases the coins you've been banking by playing, and every Classic game after that pays out more of them. Tier 6 is where you pick between Magma Chamber Jax and Nightbringer Lee Sin Prestige Edition.
Progress stops on September 21. Any Classic Pass Coins still in your balance are lost for good when the pass shuts off the following night, so spend them this week.
Buy it only if Classic is where your evenings go. Portraits, Classic skins and Classic chromas work inside League Classic and nowhere else, which leaves a Summoner's Rift player with very little. Our League of Legends Classic FAQ covers the mode itself.
Season 3: Act I Pass
| Premium pass | 1,650 RP |
|---|---|
| Bundles | 2,650 RP (adds Veigar, a Vivid chroma and an emote), 3,650 RP (adds 10 levels, an icon and 25 Mythic Essence as well) |
| Runs | July 29 to October 5, 11:59pm PT. Deactivates October 6, 11:59pm PT |
| Structure | 48 milestones at 500 XP each, then 8 repeatable ones |
| Extra levels | 95 RP each |
This is the main battle pass, the one tied to the season instead of an event. Magma Chamber Veigar sits at milestone 48, and the repeatable milestones after it pay Blue Essence with a trickle of Orange Essence.
Every minute of every matchmade game earns XP for it, Co-op vs AI included. One weekly objective even counts TFT and League Classic games. Anyone who plays Summoner's Rift most nights fills it without thinking about it.
The best thing about this pass is that you don't have to buy it early. Paid rewards you've already earned unlock the moment you pay, and Riot keeps it on sale for 24 hours after objectives close. Look at your bar on October 5 and decide then. If you're ten milestones short, buying the levels costs 950 RP on top, and at that point the pass has stopped being a bargain.
Hall of Legends 2026 Pass
| Premium pass | 1,950 RP |
|---|---|
| Collections | Risen Legend 5,035 RP, Immortalized Legend 32,035 RP, Signature Immortalized Legend 58,865 RP |
| Runs | September 10 to October 19, 11:59pm PT. Purchases close October 20, 11:00am PT |
| Structure | 100 levels, earned straight from objectives |
| Extra levels | 95 RP each |
Caps is the third player in the Hall of Legends, after Faker in 2024 and Uzi in 2025, and this pass follows his career. It skips pass XP entirely. Objectives award levels directly, and time spent in any League or TFT matchmade game adds one level for every 50 points you earn.
The objective worth knowing about is a one-time bonus: play five games as Orianna, Tristana, LeBlanc, Azir or Ryze and you get 20 levels at once. Two weekly takedown goals add six more apiece, and takedowns on those same champions count double.
Risen Legend Orianna comes at level 10. Freljord Taliyah, Elderwood LeBlanc and Empyrean Akali are further up the track, with the "Martin 1" title near the top.
The pass is the bottom rung of a tall ladder. Caps co-developed the Tristana skins, and the cheapest collection includes the pass, so a Tristana fan should skip straight to that. The Signature collection throws in all 100 levels. Bundles are prorated, which means upgrading later doesn't charge you twice for content you already own.
Part of every pass and collection sale goes to Caps, his current and former teams and the wider LoL Esports scene. The skins leave the store when the event ends, though Riot says they could be offered again later.
A mid laner who already plays Orianna or Azir gets a fifth of this track from five games, and that makes it the easiest paid pass here to justify. The Patch 26.18 notes rundown has the rest of what shipped with the event.
ARAM: Mayhem Progression Track
Free, and it's the one that changes your games. Mayhem matches fill a 32-milestone track that unlocks new Augments along with icons, emotes and a Demacia Crown hat. A freshly unlocked Augment is guaranteed to show up in your next match if it fits the draft (Silver ones excepted). Riot has Mayhem staying until further notice, so there's no deadline to chase.
TFT Enchanted Wilds: Part I Pass+
| Pass+ | 1,295 RP |
|---|---|
| Runs | August 26 to October 5, 11:59pm PT |
| Structure | Levels 0 to 44, with a free pass alongside |
TFT runs in the same client on the same RP, so it belongs on this list. The free pass opened with Enchanted Wilds on August 26. The Pass+ track includes the Twilight Forest Arena, the Verdant Wonder Portal and Little Legends such as Mushroom Sprite and Divine Brilliance Pengu.
Two dates matter here. TFT's own PC client is due October 7, and Space Gods stays playable on the League PC client until October 9.
Why Five Passes Feels Like Too Many
The Complaint
Nobody is angry about any single pass. It's the stack. Three League tracks with a paid tier are running together, each with its own objectives and its own deadline, and the Season pass stops progressing on the same night as the TFT pass.
Then there's the loot. The season store and the Hall of Legends store both sell orbs at 250 RP apiece, in bundles that reach 12,500 RP, and Sanctum pulls cost 400 RP each. Those aren't passes. They sit on the same screens, though, which is how a count of five turns into six.
The TFT Side
TFT players have a sharper grievance. When the game moved to Unreal Engine for Enchanted Wilds, cosmetics came across in stages. Some carry a WIP badge, others are disabled and can't be equipped at all, and players found things they'd paid for sitting behind those badges, arenas included.
Riot's response so far is a rotating loan of fully migrated cosmetics, with Mythic and Prestige items first in line to be fixed. Affected items have been pulled from the store, so a new purchase works right away. Refunds go through TFT's normal policy, and a refunded item leaves your account for good.
The Rebuttal
The other camp points out that the Mayhem track costs nothing, and that every paid League pass here lets you buy late and still collect what you've already earned. A Summoner's Rift player who ignores Classic and TFT is really looking at two passes.
Perspectives paraphrased from various Reddit threads.
Which Ones to Buy
Most players need one pass at most. A nightly Summoner's Rift player should take the Season pass, bought in the last week of the Act once the bar is nearly full. Orianna and Azir players get more from the Hall of Legends pass, because five games on a champion they already play is worth 20 of its 100 levels.
Classic regulars have six days left to spend their coins. And if Mayhem is all you queue for, you're done already.
