SEASON 3 - PATCH 3.14 SOLO QUEUE TIER LIST
PRESEASON UPDATE
PRESEASON UPDATE
This List has been updated, and new versions are available via this link
Riot's really outdone themselves this time. There are SO many changes...Supports and jungles especially have been changed for better or for worse, and with the new masteries in place several champions that fell out of favor actually received a decent sized buff.
With that being said, there will still likely be a couple tweaks to the list between now and the next patch update, so bear with me as I shuffle a couple things around based on the meta changes and misc. oversights on my part.
Champion Additions/Removals:
- Took out AP Corki mid
- Added "AP" to Ezreal mid
- Added Riven mid
- Added Lissandra top
Updates:
- 11/27 - Moved Eve up a bit, still mixed on her placement, but she can snowball hard.
- 1129 - Moved Shyvana and Olaf up a bit, moved Akali up to Tier 1
- 12/7 - Moved Mundo up to Tier 1

- Champions in BOLD I will talk about shortly
- Champions UNDERLINED may be over/undervalued, but aren't/haven't played enough for me to make a better judgement.
- Within each tier the champions are strongest from left to right, but within a tier each champion's strength is relatively close. This is especially true for Tiers 2 and 3 where these champions are ALL highly playable and player dependent on how strong they are in-game.
Champion Explanations
- Gangplank - With the Relic Shield passive still working on his Q (just no execute), Gangplank gets a ton of gold in lane and is definitely one of the more "valuable" supports. Although he didn't get a utility buff, the amount of gold he picks up makes him an extremely high damage potential support. Combined with Caitlyn, their level 1 damage potential is insane.
- Leona - Leona and Taric are broken right now. It's not like Season 2's start though. At the beginning of Season 2 the reason why Taric was insanely broken was that he could trade at any time and come out ahead as long as he landed stun + shatter. However, the reason they're strong now is that they've been giving tankiness scaling beyond anything that we've seen on supports before now. This combined with the amount of gold they're getting means that their scaling is just way above the norm.
- Lissandra - Simply not a very solo queue friendly champion. She's very good in a coordinated team, but more often then not your team will react a little too slow and you'll find yourself a little too deep and firmly rooted.
- Lucian - I think the Korean teams have shown why he deserves a top tier spot...
- Malphite - Malphite's been untouched for so long that his stats have caught up to everyone else's in top lane. At this point his trading ability is actually pretty high compared to most champions, and his burst damage with his ultimate is nothing to scoff at. Rather than being a usual passive lane, Malphite now has some serious kill potential.
- Riven - Oh. Riven. How should I begin...nothing's really *changed* about her except for some number tweaks and the change on her Q. I think the main thing is that after several *professional* players started playing her, the public wised up to her damage potential even at low health. Unfortunately for everyone else, pulling off these combos are fairly easy if all of your spells are up. This means that while previously Rivens would try and run away at low health, now they turn around and everyone outplays...easily. Mid lane Riven isn't overpowered, but she's definitely viable.
- Swain - Swain's damage output and tankiness have always been obnoxious, but now that the major assassins have been nerfed, keeping the lid on him is harder than ever. This combined with the buffs on him a while ago have really made him one of the biggest pains in the world. Although I've placed him lower than Kassadin, don't accidentally think that Kassadin counters Swain. He simply snowballs teams harder.
- Talon - The new masteries favor him well, and with the other assassins nerfed he's very strong at the moment.
- Taric - See Leona. Basically the same reasons, but even more so. He just has so much scaling and extra gold now...but as I mentioned he's not OP for the same reasons as Season 2, so don't go playing him the way you did back then...as I learned the hard way.
- Teemo - Teemo is insanely strong now with the deletion of Oracles and pink wards being visible. Not only that, but the new offensive hybrid masteries boost his damage by a ton. He's still squishy and can lose/get camped in lane fairly easily, but even losing lane he'll be a serious threat if he manages to farm up a bit.
- Twisted Fate - Still a viable pick, but there are better choices at the moment.
- Udyr - Strong duelist, very tanky, not much else to say in the realm of junglers. He has decent stats compared to others and good clear time.
- Zed - Heavily nerfed, there are better picks now. Still viable though if you like to play him.
- The purpose of this list is for discussion and to provide a starting point for champion selection.
Agree? Disagree? Comment below!

Nice list, quite informative to say the least. (that rhymed lol)
ReplyDeleteShouldn't evelynn be a jungle god? No oracles + Pink wards are visible. She's basically freelo
ReplyDeleteNasus explanation for god tier please?
ReplyDeleteHe's just got a very safe laning phase and a monster late game. Now that they've increased his stack speed and nerfed all the assassins, mid lane doesn't snowball as hard and allows for him to make a massive impact.
ReplyDeleteYou would think so, but that's not shown by her win rate. I think it's because most of the popular champions are either extremely mobile or extremely tanky, which she has a tough time ganking. Evelynn's also still a somewhat squishy champ, so she relies on her ally(s) responding quickly enough before the enemy team she's trying to gank bursts her down.
ReplyDeleteThanks!
ReplyDeleteIs Singed still in the God tier? I personally believe he doesn't really fit in to current meta. Could you please explain that choice? Other than that, an amazing list and very well done :)
ReplyDeleteCould you please explain how you feel shyvana fits in the new meta? I thought she would be a contender for god tier in terms of jungle, as I don't feel any of the current gods except for vi can clear at a fast enough rate to get the most out of the new jungle, while still being an active threat.
ReplyDeleteAlso does rammus really belong as the number 1 jungler. I have played about 60 games with him in solo q and have around a 70% win rate, but I just can't find a setup that allows him a decent clear speed.

Hello SSJSuntastic,
ReplyDeleteI main Olaf since 3.13 in jungle. At the moment he is in you tier 3 list. I am sure he is a higher tier but people do not know how to use him at best. I prefer 21-9-0 masteries on him. This gives me great benefit whole game. Most people play him with 21 in defense this is what makes him lackluster. Change the masteries and he is hidden OP for me.
Quite confused on the sudden Talon jump to God Tier. You didn't explain much in the Champion Explanations either. Any further details on this please?
ReplyDeleteI think Twisted Fate could win lane against every ap champion (excluding fizz, akali). I think you understimate his power. He has acceptional laning phase, strong mid-game phase (cause of ganks and stuff), and his burst in late can desolate everyone. IMO, he should be in tier 2. And about talon. He is strong in lane, you can destory everything on mid (except non-mid champions like riven, renekton, j4 etc.), but he is so weak in team fights. He need to take out your carry, but he must go to very close range to take him, where is whole enemy team grouped. He is good IMO only when you wanted to set up ambush. MY opinions, dont flame me.
ReplyDeleteSivir nerfs didnt hit hard im guessing?
ReplyDeleteReason for Ziggs god tier?
ReplyDeleteI think Singed still has the potential there for sure, but if 2v1 lanes become more of a "thing" in solo queue, he could be in for some serious trouble. It's just the fact that his strategy is so easy to execute in solo queue, and it's one of those "be-super-annoying" split-push-forever strategies.
ReplyDeleteWith the way people are warding right now Shyvana is definitely very good, and if she snowballs she snowballs HARD. Her waveclear is definitely amazing either in the jungle or in lane, but she still suffers from a lack of CC.
ReplyDeleteAs for Rammus, I'd say yes he's still insanely good. His ganking potential is simply too strong and his late game CC + tankiness is obnoxious.
It's really the new masteries, I mean it's not completely game-breaking but the new masteries definitely give him a lot of extra juice that he didn't have before. I might have moved him up a bit drastically, we'll give him a little time to see.
ReplyDeleteGreat list as always.
ReplyDeleteCan you give a bit more info about Lucian's move to God tier please? I've barely laned against him since his release, and thought he was too skill-shot dependent and barely viable?
3.13 Patch had made him a complete monster and now with mid lane not being so assassin centralized, Ziggs is now one of the best mid.
ReplyDeleteI've got a few posts explaining why in the strategy section on page two, it gives a more in-depth explanation :)
ReplyDeleteIt's possible, he's not really a highly played champ at the moment so maybe some people out there are playing him at a higher level.
ReplyDeleteFrom my experience in the pre-season olaf and shyvana are total dominant forces in the jungle, their clear speeds are crazy and they easily get the most use out of the new jungle items which mostly suck or alternatively then can avoid them all together with no hinderance, they are both beasts at dueling currently plus with the new masteries olaf is really scary right now. On a side note how come you havent mentioned anything to do with the 2-1-2 strategy where top lane gets 2 targons and one of them still has smite. The gold got from this method is pretty obnoxious since the gold in the jungle is unreliable at best as your team farms it.
ReplyDeleteMalphite Top is in tier 1 and 2, and Malphite jungle is missing ;)
ReplyDeleteExcellent tier list, keep up the good work!
I seen him picked or banned in korean servers. But in my server-EUW he is not a common pick at all indeed. I find him hidden OP and hope no one else pick him so I can keep maining him haha.
ReplyDeleteHe is so easy to counter that I just see him as very strong. Kass for one will shut you down hard and unless you sit under tower you feed your lane.
ReplyDeleteCould you please explain why jungle olaf is tier 3?
ReplyDeleteWukong na God Tier, BOA! Não sei porque ele não é muito popular, é extremamente forte e acho até que deveria ser nerfado apesar dele ser meu principal champ.
ReplyDeleteThe funny thing is I have and still do main talon and finally he's gotten some recognition :)
ReplyDeleteI still don't know why Quinn is on the low tier 2 list. I've played her recently and she has a pretty good laning phase if you avoid harass correctly. She is extremely good (especially with an aggressive support such Blitzcrank or Leona) as her "all-in" is definitely nothing to laugh about. Overall i think it's time shes moved up from tier 2
ReplyDeletePantheon mid is in both tier 1 and tier 2, and he's missing from top.
ReplyDeleteWhat masteries make talon god tier? I would like to know since I play him as my alternate mid.
ReplyDeleteShouldn't Akali be in a higher tier? She has strong burst and high mobility. Snowballing with her isn't too hard.
ReplyDeleteOlaf Q is now significantly worse cc wise than it was prior to his rework. Sure he has a great kit for jungling, (as most ad junglers do) but his ganking is a bit lack luster and he is far better suited for top laning now, as his Q is now better for poke and harass rather than cc.
ReplyDeletelucian god tier? koreans showed that? was it in the last tournament which I didn't watch? because if so I'm watching it!
ReplyDeleteSivir's Q nerf are like Jax's W nerf. Didn't really do much except slightly lower her early game damage. It's so minimal that after 1-2 points in her Q, she feels the same.
ReplyDeleteAlso AD assassins like Zed, Talon, or really anyone with hyper mobility can rape TF. His W at tough situations takes time to load up if an assassin comes out of nowhere and people with burst or 'intargetability' can eat TF because he's AA reliant. TF is also heavily team reliant.
ReplyDeleteWe won't find Quinn higher on the tier list unless she gets some buffs or some pros play well with her like Lucian. Quinn is like the awkward child that doesn't fit in with any of the AD carries. She has an ultimate where she becomes melee. She will always be tier 2.
ReplyDeleteMight be some of the reasons why.
ReplyDeleteLucian has an OP passive, literally a ranged master yi.
Very high burst included with his passive.
High mobility and his kiting is as almost good as sivir.
Easy to play if you know how to use Q and know what places to jump in or out with E.
New masteries made him better. It always reminds me of Nasus because Nasus became impossible to force off top lane b/c of those masteries.
One of the worst ults in the game like Graves' ult. hey it's something. Sooner or later he's going to be dropped off into tier 1 or tier 2.
Nerfs to meta assassins made him stronger (he also has silence for mid which is always a nice asset), new masteries fit his playstyle too
ReplyDeleteDoes nasus or renekton carry harder? I want to know who to main for top lane. thanks
ReplyDeleteI've seen a lot of Talon lately; and I am convinced he's back a lot stronger than before; dunno if God Tier, but at the very least Tier 1.
ReplyDeleteThe new masteries grant him very high kill and roam potential very early, which allows him to snowball the team for when he's outscaled. Basically, once he hits lvl 6 everyone must be scared of him coming to gank. The changes to pink wards also favor him quite a lot. His ganking is impossible to counter if you don't know he's coming (and you won't unless you have pinks); since he can do his whole combo in less than a second (that you will be helpless during, due to silence). He can literally melt a squishie very fast, forcing them to stay near tower; and force top lane to retun to base whenever he's close to half health; thus giving him a huge presence that furthers how easily you can win.
Also, many good Zed players moved to playing Talon, and I guess they did that for a reason.
Don't get me wrong, Talon has a lot of weaknesses, he's strong and he gets the job done as an assassin (bursting down carry). I personally think he'll get a lot more popular, and once carries are tired of dying to him, will cry out for a nerf, that will be granted. That if Yasuo doesn't replace him before he has a chance to shine again, that could happen.
I think Olaf should be looked into more. I have an extremely high winrate with him in the jungle in Solo Queue, or at least I did in S3. Take LS quints and start with a Doran's Blade, and you'll have tons of sustain and clear speed with your Q and W, and as long as you can land your axes from long range, ganks are ALWAYS a kill if the enemy laner overextends, or as long as your teammate follows up with some CC of their own. Throw the axe, pick up the axe, throw the axe, pick up the axe, throw the axe (that's like, 400 damage right there before level 6 while their laner is slowed to oblivion) then press W and autoattack whilst spamming E. I always manage to get two kills before my first back, then carry games by building tanky and getting Ravenous Hydra/Bloodthirster/Frozen Mallet.
ReplyDeleteThe reason people do poorly with Olaf is because they don't have the axe mechanics down. In the jungle, you can keep picking up and throwing your axe from very short range for the extra tons of damage, and that thing has AWESOME range and slowing potential if you can lead the skillshot (which isn't hard at all). Just max it first and constantly shove it down peoples' throats. Top lane, it's a fantastic harass tool, and since Olaf is a solid duelist, it's super helpful to hit a few axes to whittle down that pesky Riven's health, then outduel her with your AS steroid, life steal, Ult (which keeps you from being disabled and gives you tons of AD), and constant E's (which reset off autoattacks). Koreans are starting to use him a lot more too and it's easy to see why.
This is a good and much-needed tier list though. Plus, I'm glad people are finally considering Syndra a strong pick. :) Keep up the good work, OP.
(PS, I think AP Ez is pretty darn strong as well. What was your reasoning for putting him so low?)
Could you maybe upload a screenshot or something of what masteries you use? And how do you build? I've been trying to get Jax jungle to work, but I haven't been all that successful.
ReplyDeleteFixed ~
ReplyDeleteHow can you not add sion to any mids... he has been recently play a lot in competitive play and gone legendary many times
ReplyDelete21/9
ReplyDeletespirit of the golem, trinity, botrk, randuins, spirit visage, boots
sell spirit of the golem and choose another item( hextech, zephyr, G.A, warmogs, frozen mallet)
Is katarina a good pick atm?
ReplyDeleteOrianna has a slow, speed up, armor/mr buff, shield. No hard cc until her ult, even then, that's just a toss that disables their attacks and movement for maybe 0.6 seconds, with a horrendous cooldown. No heals either, not that they're necessary though. Everything she does is very damage oriented, and the slight utility of them isn't going to make you a support. It's the same reason there's no support Ziggs, even though he'd work just as well, with his AoE slow and AoE knock up.
ReplyDeleteZiggs was always one of the most annoying people to lane against, if you were an APC. He has very long range, short cooldown, powerful harass and can farm very well with his Q. The only reason he wasn't god tier previously is because assassins were so common in mid, and they were a tough counter to him. Ziggs can pretty easily keep people at a distance, but if a slippery assassin like Zed, Akali, or Kha'Zix were to get around his constant harass for short time, they'd easily jump on him and burst him down. Even though he keeps people away pretty well, he has a lot of trouble getting people off of him once they get up close. Since all those up close and personal kind of people are getting nerfed, he's now god tier, because those were his only real counters.
ReplyDeleteHe is in tier 2 though...
ReplyDeleteThe indirect change that we SoloQ'ers have found is that Draven is one hell of a 'high risk, high reward' champion. His passive gave him great sustained burst and was hard to fight, but now his passive lets him snowball to hell. He gets way more gold than he should on a kill thanks to his passive. It at first looks like a nerf, but it can also be a buff. Draven still has a super early game and an insane late game, he's still one of the best ADCs out there.
ReplyDeleteRenekton can carry hard early-mid, but he's just a meat shield late game. He has some utility for the team thanks to his armor reduction on E and also a 1.5 second stun, but that's about it. Renekton fares best against squishy champions. The only way renekton can really carry is if he's fed. He also has escapes unlike Nasus and has a good gap closer unlike Nasus.
ReplyDeleteNasus on the other hand has no carrying potential early game. He has average potential mid game where you have around 200-300 stacks. If your team has been doing well and you have 400-600+ stacks late game, it's pretty much a GG. He has a devastating late game AS LONG AS YOU STACK YOUR Q. He also has greater utilty than Renekton, but nasus has shit early game.
Renekton depends on kills to carry a game by himself. Nasus depends on his stacks. They're both very SoloQ friendly champions. You can't dive them and they can still work very well even if you don't build tank items. In fact it's reccomended that you build tank items for both of them. Nasus generally can carry harder for prolonged games, while Renekton is the opposite. Main Nasus right now. He's quite broken because of the new defensive masteries giving him almost infinite sustain. Not even a teemo can shove nasus out of lane anymore.
where is kat?
ReplyDeleteThanks for the helpful info!
ReplyDeleteThanks!
ReplyDeleteYou sure Volibear belongs in Tier 1? I would maybe consider putting him in Balanced.
ReplyDeleteWhy are Urgot and Zilean that bad? They're the only champions that are tier 4 in every role.
ReplyDeleteAlso, what´s the problem with Tryndamere jungler? I never played Tryndamere, but I thought he was a good jungler...
Zilean lacks the utility most players look for in a champion. He has a slow/quicken and a revive, but neither of those are very useful in the late game unless you build ap.
ReplyDeleteUrgot's range is the shortest in the game, champions like Caitlyn and Tristana can get 1 or 2 hits on him before he can even get in range.
Tryndamere is a good jungler, but everything he offers is surpassed by other champions, especially Aatrox. Overall, he works, but there are better choices.
just concerned about pantheon in t2 and renekton in god. people always say renek counters panth in top lane. but i own renek in top lane cause people always counter me with him i understand how he plays and out play him every time.
ReplyDeleteNot incredibly, the main reason being her kit is all burst with no cc. She can still be played if you play her carefully and well.
ReplyDeleteWell Lucian was good how he was, however he was only good in higher elo due to his high skill cap. Basically what i am saying is that he has been god tier for a while.
ReplyDeleteThis might sound douchey but Shyvanna and Olaf are the two strongest junglers at the moment and honestly should be in god tier. Do I have to explain Shyvanna? with her skyrocket playrate her power should be apparent. She can build extremely tanky and still put out retarded amounts of dps. Olaf is likewise, and his early and mid game power atm is ridiculously good. He really shouldn't be sitting at a tier three position. I want to say this is all my opinion but it's really not as so many pro players and league experts are saying the same things
ReplyDeleteNot at all, I've actually been keeping careful track of Olaf and Shyvana in particular. I think Shyvana might get moved up a bit, but I'm still not sold on Olaf. I'll admit that he's balanced, but I think there's a clear bridge between solo queue and competitive league when it comes to our favorite viking barbarian.
ReplyDeleteThe main issue with Olaf is that while he might be unstoppable to a point, the cover a solo queue team provides for a disengage or a follow up isn't nearly as coordinated as in a ranked team. For a game in which Olaf is the main source of engage, even if he does well early to mid game, he doesn't allow for the same follow-up potential as lot of other strong top lane champions.
Sejuani is only of the most underplayed champions in the league right now. Considering how easy she is to execute for how big a reward she puts out, I'm really surprised more people don't play her. In solo queue, successfully invading can be quite risky since the enemy team's laners will always be closer, and your own will almost never respond in time. Her late game utility is also much higher than Olaf or Shyvana.
Renekton's just a very solid pick overall with strong lane sustain and the ability to outplay...if he's good enough. Sounds like you just know the matchup well enough to take advantage of any openings they create :)
ReplyDeleteVolibear's still fairly strong, but is definitely hurt slightly by the fact that most supports have been running ignite instead of exhaust now.
ReplyDeleteAP Ezreal's very much a one trick pony. After the nerf to the range/aspd reduction on his W, the safety of his main AP spells was dropped greatly. That combined with the fact that if he misses his ultimate the majority of his burst damage is gone, means that there's a very small margin for error.
ReplyDeletePeople definitely succeed with him, but it's not something that happens without a LOT of practice, much more than most other champions that do the same amount of damage.
Ezreal's a great AD carry and very fun to play. I'd say Jinx is very fun as well!
ReplyDeleteAkali's definitely very strong right now...moving her up to 1
ReplyDeleteWhy is ziggs at god tier? i dont mean its a bad champion, its one of my mains and i love to see him up there, but why do you find him stronger than other mid laners?
ReplyDeleteHe destroys all the other APCs. The only thing holding him back was the large amount of assassins in mid. Now that most assassins are nerfed, and therefore, less common and less of a threat when they appear, he can dominate in most of his match ups.
ReplyDeleteHe's a very basic champion that relies almost completely on basic attacks. He's very easy to outplay. If you know how he works, which just about 100% of level 30s do, then you can easily make plays on him to beat him in a trade. As far as jungling, he has amazing sustain in the jungle and average clear time, but without his ult, his ganks are just bad. As far as being a strong duelist, he's suddenly becomes worse than every duelist as soon as they ignite him, or against anyone else with grievous wounds. You can also build Morellonomicon or Executioner's Calling if he gets fed, and that will keep him under control as long as the holders of those items are alive.
ReplyDeleteCtrl+F to search for any word or phrase. This works on practically every program with words. It even says it at the top.
ReplyDeleteUsually by the time he gets his first kill/assist, he has over 90 stacks on his passive, and he starts snowballing a bit ahead of other ADCs when they get their first kill. He gets a minimum of 50 bonus gold on each kill iirc, and he'll have over 50 stacks at any given time, except half way through a team fight.
ReplyDeleteHe's a good ADC. You have to farm with his basic attacks and Q simultaneously, but you will actually secure more last hits this way. If you have good reflexes, you can a lot of moves with your E, and out play people completely. One thing I suggest doing is, when farming with your AA and Q, never go below 100 mana, and at level 6, don't go below 200. You'll need to save some in case you get in trouble and need to teleport. At 6 you need to save some for teleporting, and also some for if you see a possible kill/kill secure with your ult.
ReplyDeleteJanna shouldn't be Tier 1, IMO. She is really squishy. She really on goes good with Draven, which people don't really know how to play him.
ReplyDeleteI disagree, most of the people I see never build around countering me when I play as him.
ReplyDeleteI was kind of stuck on playing Lux, and needed to find another champ to learn to play, and I had never really seen anyone play Swain (once in a while, but VERY rarely) but he looked like he was fun to play, so I decided to give him a shot after seeing him rated so highly, I started playing him and he's really good and a lot of fun (I love how deceptively tanky he is). He doesn't get countered very easily from what I've seen (although I did have one hell of a time against a Kayle mid). Thanks for this list, it's really helped me out. I still need to find another ADC to play besides Ashe though, and I hated playing Lucian, and thought Tristana seemed really good. She's not too highly rated but I've seen some pretty amazing Tristana players which makes me think she's stronger than the rating she has, but I've never actually tried her. Once again, thanks for this list.
ReplyDeleteHe is definitely not a fast jungler... because he doesn't do a lot of damage his clear speed is lacking, but he definitely makes up for it by being probably the best jungler in the game when it comes to ganking. Also his ultimate makes him great at helping push lanes or split-pushing late game. Not only that but his tankiness and his AOE damage on his ult + taunt and Thornmail make him amazing in team fights. Even though his early game damage is pretty bad which makes him a slower jungler, he makes up for it in other areas. I'm also not sure if he deserves to be the number one jungler, but he is definitely one of the best right now. I'm probably the worst jungler in NA but Rammus is the only champion that I've jungled with and actually done well, which says a lot.
ReplyDeleteLeBlanc tier 3? when I heard about the new masteries I tryed leblanc and now I play with her in ranked!
ReplyDeleteThe new masteries makes her able to kill ANYONE, I managed to kill a 300 mr galio last game with a full combo without deathfire gasp (Tell me if that isn't op).
And then carried the team to victory bursting anyone in my front, garen, elise, thresh...
she must be raisen, cus I am not the only one agreeding with this (I've seen MANY more talons and MANY more leblancs, but strangely, not a single veigar).
Still don't get how you have Sej and Fiddle as jungle gods.
ReplyDeleteZiggs, Nidalee, Talon, Fizz, Orianna (God Tier? >>> Diana (Tier 1) ??? need to change that^^
ReplyDeletezed is still god tier his W change is a bit annoying but his new ultimated allows him to go ultra deep in and just back off to his shadow.. unlimited juke potential! Its just as simple as befor Zed isnt deadly in everyones hand since he got a highskill cap.. but if u watch faker bjergsen, they doing same maybe even better with new zed..
ReplyDeleteLulu is God tier.... I don't think you fully understand her kit. She has basically everything besides a heal. Amazing utility support, plus with the new items.. no one would die in team fights
ReplyDeleteone of the worst ults in the game? What are you smoking
ReplyDeleteWell think about it closely. Ult is barely viable as a finisher. Anyone can just jump out of it and it can get cockblocked by minions. It's only used for kiting with the W,R combo. Just because he's high in the tierlist doesn't mean every skill that Lucian has is 'godly'. It's as unimpactful and useless as maokai's ult.
ReplyDeleteHis Ult isn't used as a finisher, it's used a harasser and wave clear due to its short CD. One of the main reasons Lucian recent success is his ability to push lanes and quickly take towers with sheen proc and passive. Calling his Ult one of the worst in the games is completely false and ignorant. Not every Ult is meant as a finisher
ReplyDeleteCan i ask what you mean by 'the way people are warding now' ?
ReplyDeleteWhat is keeping corki from god tier? Almost all of his abilities have been heavily buffed in 3.14
ReplyDeleteWhat do think of tankgar, it's like renekton 2.0
ReplyDeleteHis W can sustain him forever in a teamfight, his ult can lock down the ADC, and his W gives him too much MR and Armor to get melted down.
im convinced ur bronze lol
ReplyDeleteHe can easily farm so its harder too counter him. He's a really good safe pick.
ReplyDeleteGood damage cc and a great escape.
ReplyDeleteThe only thing that surprises me about what you said, is you killing a 300 MR Galio. Void Staff could easily get through most of his MR, so killing him would be easy. It's just surprising that you found a Galio
ReplyDeleteYou disagree with that entire paragraph just because people don't build for grievous wounds?
ReplyDeleteI didn't see syndra on the list
ReplyDeleteMost people value Rengar for his burst damage, not his CC. I'd say he's best built as a glass cannon assassin right now.
ReplyDeleteHis new Q is easily dodged, and the 3.13 patch hit his ult like a truck. Not sure if he has recovered yet.
ReplyDeleteSejuani's got an incredible initiate, and Fiddlesticks has an insane AOE damage output + great CC from his Q.
ReplyDeleteUrgot: Falls off extremely hard, even if he gets fairly fed. He has to snowball insanely hard to remain a force in a match.
ReplyDeleteZilean: Not a whole lot of utility or damage. His kit can, situationally, be very good though.
Tryndamere jungle: His ganks are pretty far from terrifying relative to many other junglers. He's great in-lane, but his jungling is sub-par.
He's a pretty fun ADC, and is fairly powerful (don't be worried about picking an underpowered champ).
ReplyDeleteMy favorite ADC is Draven, followed by Quinn and then Varus. Draven's a very hit-or-miss champ, and doing well with him is insanely rewarding. Quinn's not an extremely strong ADC, but I enjoy her kit and unique gameplay for an ADC. As far as Varus is concerned, I find he performs very consistently and works well with just about every support, and can contribute CC to teamfights with his ult.
Hello SSJSuntastic,
ReplyDeletetheres a few things i have to say after reading ur list and comments.
1)
u gotta be less conformist from ppl in the comment section (yes, i see
the irony) i mean just because some1 is good at akali or olaf jungle
doesmt mean its actually better than it was or than u consider it to be.
dont succumb to this pressure.
2) u got too many champs on god
tier in my opinion. god tier is for the ones that it is really hard to
lose as, and not just any champ with a nice kit. i say cut it down to
2-3 champs per role, who really shine. ur not riot, u dont owe us equal
numbers in the tiers.
3) u must consider escape tools as a
catagory to judge upon, especially when were talking about mid adc and
top (unless very tanky). i mean its nice to be good against alot of
champions but when u get out of position or just a smart gank, its
crutial that u'll have a plan b. lets say swain, hes incredible in lane,
but its not a 1vs1 game. hes easly ganked and that matters.
4) i like ur list, keep updating
Reasons for Tryndamere god tier in top lane? He can be countered extremely easily (terrible early game). Don't get me wrong, I kind of main tryndamere and love him, but really in lane if you don't get a gank/kill before 6 it's difficult.
ReplyDeleteThis is why Fiddle's a god: http://cdn.memegenerator.net/instances/500x/40280995.jpg
ReplyDeleteAdd Taric top pl0x. He's extremely situational, but can totally wreck champions like zed or pantheon (due to his new passive + iceborn gauntlet)
ReplyDeleteye, the only times I see galio are with trolls or people that think they can counter me.
ReplyDeletethey all failed
Can someone explain to me why Anivia isn't in tier 1 at the least? Her burst is crazy, she has great aoe damage, and amazing utility. Also her passive is great early game and her e provides great harass. With the nerfs of the assassins, I would think she would be moved up.
ReplyDeleteWhy is Yorick at really stronk toplane?
ReplyDeleteand amazing sustain in the jungle, and considering the camps are much harder early game, he can actually gank early game from being full life
ReplyDeleteIt's actually good to go tankgar when the enemy team peels well, because if you fail your burst you will probably die instantly right after whereas a tankgar be very disruptive to the enemy team also it's also a plus if he locks down a high valued target with bola strike
ReplyDeleteQuinn is a bit underrated here in my opinion.
ReplyDeleteTryndamere Jungle deserves to be at Tier 2-3. It's clear is very good. The ganks are exceptional with a lane with good lock on CC.
ReplyDeletehow the hell does least rhyme with list
ReplyDeleteIt's odd that you haven't listed Taric top. With his mini rework he's now insanely powerful. Definitely Tier 1 in my opinion - once you get glacial shroud you can pretty much win EVERY single trade and never fall behind.
ReplyDeleteZed is still very good his "nerfs" just make it easier to run away after securing a kill with his ult I hate when people say he is bad now
ReplyDeleteIs this list supposed to be about solo queue or tournament play? Twitch and Lucian are not god tier in solo queue. I actually dread having a Lucian on my team because he's so bad unless you have unusual bot lane synergy or the person is climbing. Move him back down the list please!
ReplyDeletei just want to know where irelia is i couldnt find her :P
ReplyDeleteThanks for the feedback! I'll take it into consideration. God Tier might be looking a little packed.
ReplyDeleteShe's there, CTRL + F
ReplyDeleteTryndamere's just one of those champions that have exceedingly high push potential and survivability. Left to his own devices, he'll eventually push in the lane by himself and with the game. Also, if you don't pick someone that counters him, he'll almost always end up feeding off your ally in lane.
ReplyDeleteBasically, he just has a very simple to execute strategy that forces everyone on the enemy team to focus on him.
Will consider it, he may be getting nerfed shortly though.
ReplyDeleteAnivia's definitely strong in the current meta, but I can't say she's terribly strong, there are a lot of contenders in mid lane right now.
ReplyDeleteYorick's sustain and harass are insanely high, and his late game utility is extremely good if your AD carry is ahead. What he lacks in personal damage, he makes up in teamfights.
ReplyDeletePossibly, she's definitely balanced, which means she appears to shine a little more or a little less than other marksmen depending on the person playing her.
ReplyDeleteTryndamere's ganking is somewhat weak simply because without red buff he doesn't have a reliable CC. He also doesn't get as much farm in jungle, so it makes him a little lackluster.
ReplyDeleteShe is, Ctrl + F
ReplyDeleteIt's a good thing that people say he's bad and you're good with him. As long as everyone is underestimating him and never banning him, sounds like you've found a new main!
ReplyDeleteIt's a tier list for solo queue play. Twitch is extremely strong right now with the changes to pink wards, especially in solo queue. Lucian is very strong if played correctly. As long as he doesn't rush a blade of the ruined king, you're in good shape. He'll be getting nerfed soon though, so your wish will be granted!
ReplyDeleteShe's there, Ctrl + F
ReplyDeleteI don't think twitch is bad at all, it's just that my experience in gold and below has been that twitch players tend to get bullied in lane and have trouble positioning well to use their ult in team fights, so Twitch seems like a champ with fantastic potential but with a high skill cap. Since the majority of players are bronze-silver, I was surprised to see him there.
ReplyDeleteThanks for replying to our comments :)
Teemo's range is too small to be considered a true AD carry, he also doesn't have any "ADC" steroids and is mostly played as a bruiser. His 2v2 laning ability is somewhat gimicky as he does do well against AD carries early game due to his blind, but his late game glass cannon scaling isn't very good.
ReplyDeleteHe means they're not warding at all. People still think supports are supposed to do all the warding.
ReplyDeleteI agree except with one thing. Mid lane cho' gath is trash!
ReplyDeleteLol, Vi hanging onto God by the skin of her teeth
ReplyDeleteAnnie isn't OP as a mid or a support. Her statistics for win rate%, average KDAR, and pick/ban% are not up to par to the rest of the champs who are in tier 1. She is balanced. Your tier list is quite bias and I would never trust a tier list that is built on opinions and not facts.
ReplyDeleteMundo is tier 3 jungle? no way in hell that low...
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't trust this tier list. It is bias.
ReplyDeleteAccording to the facts, Talon's win rate is 50.92%, his average KDAR is 2.36, and his pick/ban% is 4.46. He's in tier 4 out of 5.
ReplyDeleteShe has some nerfs coming in the next patch that will bring her down from tier 2 out of 5. If you want to know how well a champ is doing each patch then check to see what their win rate%, average KDAR, and pick/ban% on lolking and elophant.
ReplyDeleteWhy did you move Akali up to tier 1?
ReplyDeleteAkali's one of the few remaining assassins that were left untouched, and she received an indirect boost in power with the pink ward changes. She also has few bad match-ups in lane, and with Kassadin nearly permabanned, is a very strong pick right now.
ReplyDeleteJungle Cho is definitely very strong, I'd say that mid lane Cho isn't as bad as you think he is though. While he requires some more skill to play, as long as people don't build him glass cannon he definitely becomes a major threat later on, especially if your top is a strong burst champion.
ReplyDeleteWhy is Rengar picked/banned so often in high elo ranked games?
ReplyDeleteIs it a fun drug you're on?
ReplyDeleteActually, even though pink wards are visible, they are actually cheaper, and it's much easier to bring one into lane with you. I'm not even against anything more than Silver I's at best, and people are putting down a pink ward as soon as I jump on them in lane, and they force me to flash out, or in some cases I can just jump to a minion close to my turret. Still, pink wards are a problem, and for 475, people can pretty much always have one at hand.
ReplyDeleteBecause the ult shadow spawns in your starting location, rather than behind your target, it makes escape much easier, but it significantly lowers your damage and slow %. His single target burst does less damage, and his W can't juke quite as well as it used to.
ReplyDeleteEveryone plays the game differently. A large portion of players just do exactly what the SoloMid, MobaFire, etc, builds tell them to, and will often play characters because of their position on the tier list. The smaller portion that makes at least most of their decisions by themselves will have unique ideas that the majority of people have never seen, nor thought of. Fiddlesticks is a god tier jungler. Annie is a god tier mid. How do you think they became god tier supports seemingly out of nowhere?
ReplyDeleteThe most attention that Galio gets is from me troll-banning in normal draft games.
ReplyDeleteYou should move Soraka up, becuase she RARELY will lose to any mid champ
ReplyDeleteHe's safe but does that make him "god tier[very strong]"? i really doubt it, he's easy to poke down, out trade, and zone from farming. Every time I go top lane i always hope I'm against good Ol' Nassus so I can have an easy time in lane unless obviously if his jungler babysits him, which is great for the rest of my team.
ReplyDeleteAlthough I agree with the fact that she has benefited indirectly with the pink ward changes, I still think that with the current way people are playing (grouping mid-late game) getting through the tanks/cc for Akali is quite difficult. For that reason, I was a little surprised when you moved her up to Tier 1.
ReplyDeleteI'm personally thinking Shyvana should be in God Tier i've been maining her lately since shes the only problem i've ever had when I play Nasus and shes pretty fucking good.
ReplyDeleteyes but you see that doesn't answer my question i said "where"
ReplyDeleteZyra at the bottom of Tier 2 plz, tell that to my victims mid.
ReplyDeletei keep a pink ward in every lane i play. its 100 gold and it last forever you can easily make it last for 3 minutes or the whole game if you place it returning from your third or 4th back. You can have 5 pink wards on the map in a game and I have yet to see more than 1, being mine. EVERYONE SHOULD BUY A PINK DAMMIT!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat about Rumble? why does he always stay that low? is he bad or anything? I mean I used to play him (played him 7 times in ranked won them all) I know that isnt much, but After Liandry's I pretty much dominated. Doesnt he deserve a higher spot?
ReplyDeleteSwain is a dick why the fuck is he a god?
ReplyDeleteWouldn't Evelyn be god tier in jungle with the new vision changes?
ReplyDeleteWould like to see Kat's value raised- she saw buffs where other assasins saw nerfs and like talon new masteries favor her heavily. Played her on day 1 of s4 and got a penta, and she can viably be played 30/0/0 for some reason.
ReplyDeleteAlright, you seriously over looked 1 very important fact. With the new masteries Dr. Mundo has received a HUGE buff to early game healing. I mean with proper runes and masteries you are healing for 30 hp per 5 seconds. At level 2 if you grab your E you just got the equivalent of a BF sword. It doesn't take much to stomp the lane as Dr. Mundo early and late game. You just build to counter your opponent. Sunfire + ninja tabi vs ad and Spirit visage + Tenacity boots against an AP
ReplyDeleteSuper flipping easy sauce. Even against counters
I think Dr.Mundo should be in Tier 1 with the new defensive mastery tree he is much more tankier.
ReplyDeleteWhy is Ap trist in tier 4? Her Ap scaling is soo high and her assinating potential and teamfight damage/ utily is great with her W,the rocket jump.
ReplyDeleteYou can also use your ult defensively or offensively.
I dont see any counters for ap trist either.
Oh i forgot to add one last thing.... Her ulti.. Low cd and high base dmg and insane ap scalin
She deserves a higher tier
Shouldn't there be a limit on how many "gods" there are? Seems like having over 5 is too many.
ReplyDeleteWhere is sion?
ReplyDeleteI agree that the God Tier may be starting to get a bit crowded. That being said, the reason for that is a combination of the fact that the game is fairly balanced, and that Riot continuously releases new champions and balance changes that happen to make certain champions much much stronger than the others.
ReplyDeleteTier 2
ReplyDeleteI think so xD He really thinks we use instantly when out of CD ...
ReplyDeleteSupport: Morgana, Nunu,
ReplyDeleteOh wait , NUNU ? He's a BEAST right now , that poke is insane , and he can pretty much ignore anyone and recover all his HP !
You can play Offensive and Defensive (Blue and Green supp item)
He's too a beast top (Not saying jungle cause he needs a lot of skill in my opinion and a lot of people says that its the easiest while almost of them dont know how to like trick2g for example)
Nunu might be able to sustain very well in lane, but so do almost all the other supports as well with the new items. Also, his poke leaves him open to all-in support combos since his poke and his peel happen to be the same skill. Normally it's not an issue, but with the amount of damage Taric and Leona put out right now, it's dropped his win rate to bottom 10% since 3.14 hit.
ReplyDeleteHe's very easy to survive and play, but his late game potential falls greatly behind other champions due to item scaling.
I'll have to agree with you on that, Mundo's actually very good now, but perseverance will be getting nerfed next patch. Will move him temporarily up to tier 1 and then reevaluate once the patch hits.
ReplyDeleteShe has no form of cc.
ReplyDeleteWhy is Karthus so low? I feel like with the nerfs to assassins he's much better than he was before
ReplyDeleteZilean has the highest win ratio at Challenger tier
ReplyDeletestill tier 4.
Dear friend, when are you adding Twisted Fate ADC to the list?
ReplyDeleteSince season 2 I am asking, and since season 2 he was buffed like 100 times for adc, and nerfed 100 times for apc.
seriosly, he is my main adc in ranked!!! The only times I lose with him are when I get afks or when eu west lags, again.
Hi,idk about Olaf jungle,it should be probably better than before but its not that good imho...lots of top lane meta laners have dashes, mid can easily escape from his ganks not to mention the bot lane....and about top lane Olaf....i speak from platinum experience....when i see olaf picked and i know he is going top....my zed will crush him closed eyes...its so easy, and zed isnt even banned anymore....he is not even nearly as strong as riven(riven should be damn higher man in god tier),renekton,jax......u put wukong so high?if he is so high then rengar should be higher as well.....singed,riven so high?...then kennen top(i simply destroy rivens and singeds with him) should be as well considered and placed high....xd....tryndamere definitely not desrving top 5 man...and nasus is a definite number 1 in solo=yolo queue....there is no champion that can completely shut down nasus, unless somehow u get like double buff from first blood on their jungler and freeeze lane forever(extreme and maybe only example)...its simply not normal.just my few cents, idk, its hard to do tier lists,i know.
ReplyDeleteu obv never played vs ranged ap top as taric....think a bit..
ReplyDeleteHow much of a nerf is it getting? I can't seem to find where they state the actual amount?
ReplyDeleteYou guys are forgetting something else. They gave a buff across the board to all hybrid characters. The new mastery system gives her 3% extra magic damage and 3% extra physical damage, and then 1 point to get penetration in both is an enormous buff.
ReplyDeleteMundo is a t3 jungle because of his lack of solid CC. He doesn't have a good gap closer and if you miss his 1 slow your gank goes all to heck. If you do land you can still miss your gank. In solo queue it is just too hard to count on your teammates to make the most of your ganks if you don't have a consistent form of CC.
ReplyDeleteAlso, you said it yourself. He has good ganks with a lane with good lock on CC. Pretty much every jungle has exceptional ganks if a lane has a good lock on CC.
ReplyDeleteYeah, think about it. Sej has a gap closer/knock up, a massive slow, strong damage, and an ult that slows as well on a low cool down. Shes a pain.
ReplyDeleteNic, you are a little off base on Urgot. His late game damage is unarguably one of the highest. The problem is the amount of time it takes to get there. You have to get manamune maxed out, you have to get frozen heart, you have to get trinity force. These leave him with a weak early/mid game. Also in solo queue, you really need to have good team coordination. Given enough time Urgot can hypercarry with the boost from manamune and trinity force. Q + auto takes a TON of health from an enemy.
ReplyDeleteHis other big problem is the incredible shortness of his range. Yes he is tankier than most adcs but he is much more susceptible to ganks.
Question though, what is something that can be done to get Urgot into a playable tier without just buffing his damage?
That's because you are in Bronze. In Bronze people don't build for anything at all.
ReplyDeleteJax jungle can certainly work, but his lack of consistent CC keep him from being a top tier jungler. Don't just look to see if you can do good with him, look to see how good he does without good communication. In solo tier jungle that is what really makes a difference; how good can you lock down enemies? and for how long?
ReplyDeleteMundo was moved to Tier 1, guess I was right
ReplyDeleteMundo's very strong right now with the new masteries, he was just a bit underplayed and off my radar for a while.
ReplyDeleteplease add gangplank mid. i've been doing it recently its really not that bad. i'd say its in the balanced tier.
ReplyDeleteBut his jungle isn't really that solid. The last of CC makes ganking really hard. I agree with the top lane, but his health regen at low levels doesn't really increase his clearing time by much and his lack of any type of gap closer makes it super hard to gank without a lot of communication
ReplyDeleteDefinitely waiting for rengar to move up and i think jayce should too
ReplyDeleteHello I am just wondering on the Dr. Mundo jump i am wondering what makes him in such a high tier i understand he is a great jungler with amazing speeds and great counter jungler and an unkillable tank but his ganks are iffy wouldnt you say? and without strong ganks in soloq that you can rely heavily on yourself for completing is pretty hard could you list something else that makes him stand out in the crowd?
ReplyDeleteThe thing about Ap tristana is that she's an all in champion and she really only burst one person down at a time. She depends on getting a kill for her safety. IN team fights she gives NOOOOO utility at ALLL. As apc you wouldn't jump in there in the middle of the team, you ain't diana. Bad team fight champion and only a super burster. Very risky
ReplyDeleteI play on the KR server as Platinum and recently started playing Nautilus. Compared to what I've seen with high elo Jarvan and Rammus junglers, I'm entitled to say that Nautilus' ganks are not outmatched by the god tier junglers early and mid game. He is undervalued and underplayed but I think he deserves a God tier spot.
ReplyDeleteOnce he gets to a fight, Nautilius' ability to tank and gank is definitely on par, if not higher than Jarvan and Rammus. I think the only thing holding him back is movement ability. While a lot of god tier junglers can use their gap closers from beyond warding distance to get themselves into a lane, getting out of base and into ganks with Nautilus just happens to be slower since you wouldn't generally hook yourself into lane. If you do, you lose one of your primary CC skills during the gank itself.
ReplyDeleteChallenger tier is hardly an indication of how good a champion is, sometimes the only person playing that champion happens to also be the only person that's good at him. You'll note that he's nowhere near the top on the top played list, if he was on both then it'd be a clear indication that we're missing out on something important.
ReplyDeleteHis late-game was nerfed a few patches ago, and he's still squishy enough to be taken down very fast by a lot of popular champions even with assassins off the field since he has no escapes once they're on top of him.
ReplyDeleteI use MS quints and AS marks. Starting with a machete I rush boots of mobility and running behind bot lane to land a gank with 447 movement speed is pretty easy.
ReplyDeleteThat's true, but you could run the same set up on any jungler too. I'm not saying nautilus isn't good, but I think that God tier junglers are just a little better and have a few more options available to them.
ReplyDeleteHi!
ReplyDeleteThis is a great list, good work!
God tier nida mid and tier1 nida top are for ad or ap nida? Or both? Which one is more viable now, ap or ad? I love her!! Thanks!
im curious about why sejuani is on god jungle...shes not that great, i would have her tier 2
ReplyDeleteNo one buys a pink because it's too annoying, you spend 100 gold, and the second someone comes across it, they do everything in their power to take it down. The only thing I would ever use it for is to bait the enemy in try to kill it for free damage.
ReplyDeleteIf you play Talon correctly at all, you don't go Hydra, and go for straight burst (Black cleaver rush, BT, LW, BT, GA), with a full combo you can take out any squishy on their team, while getting away with your ultimate and simultaniously doing damage with it to the rest of their team. With their squishy dead, your team comes in for cleanup while you harass with W's, and well placed Q. E's. Not only this, it's almost impossible to beat a Talon in lane.
ReplyDelete
