Riot Promises Fix to Gold Hacking Exploit

A recent exploit that works via sending some specific packets to the servers has been floating around lately. It basically lets cheaters start with 2100 extra starting gold compared to everyone else, and naturally...it's a little gamebreaking.

Since people are starting to run into alot of these gold hackers i'll post the method I won't show you how to do it of course.

Basically it sends packets to server to sell all your runes

If you sell all of them u get 2100 not including the standard starting 475.

The hacker does lose all stats the runes gives. You don't lose your runes for the next game, you just lose the effects for the current game. Source

Luckily, RiotBellissimoh just informed us that it will be fixed shortly.

Just as a heads up, we've got a hotfix for this issue and are in the process of testing and preparing it for release ASAP.

Additionally, the use of this exploit is extremely easy to detect. We've been pro-actively tracking everyone that has been using it, and will be issuing permanent bans to anyone who has done this in a game against other players. Source
