Here's what runes and items they ran, and how the game actually played out.
Why This Pick Exists
LEC 2026 Summer uses Fearless Draft, so every champion picked in Game 1 is banned out of the champion pool for the rest of the series. That pushes teams toward picks that are strong but not obvious, since obvious picks get banned the moment they're gone. Akali and Camille both have the kit for it: Akali brings burst and mobility down a lane most junglers aren't ready to gank, and Camille brings a hard engage tool (Hookshot into ultimate) that most supports simply don't have access to.
The Roles
The Runes
Akali · Electrocute
The standard pick for a champion whose combo lands three separate instances of damage in a couple of seconds. It rewards exactly the all-in, dive-onto-a-squishy playstyle that bot lane Akali is built around.
Camille · Hail of Blades
Normally a jungler or top laner's keystone, but it fits an all-in support just as well: three empowered attacks right as Camille's ultimate locks a target down, which is exactly when she wants to deal her damage.
The Summoner Spells
Akali · Teleport + Flash
Teleport lets her reset back to lane after an all-in and still keep pressure on the rest of the map, which matters more for an off-role pick than it would for a normal ADC.
Camille · Ignite + Flash
Ignite seals kills on a lane that's already all-in from level 1, and Flash is close to mandatory on any support running a hard-engage ultimate like Camille's.
The Build
Hextech Gunblade fuels the all-in with lifesteal and spellvamp plus a slow on the active, Shadowflame punishes low-health targets after the combo lands, and Zhonya's Hourglass plus Sorcerer's Shoes round out survivability and magic penetration.
Bloodsong and Sundered Sky both proc on the first attack after an ability, which lines up with Camille's Hookshot combo, and Mercury's Treads answers the crowd control she has to dive into. She was still finishing Sterak's Gage off Tunneler and Pickaxe by the time the game ended.
How the Game Went
MKOI won Game 1 in 29 minutes. The final numbers were lopsided: 22 kills to 6, 63.9k gold to 52.8k, and 9 towers down to G2's 3. MKOI also cleaned up on the map, taking a Mountain Drake, two Infernal Drakes, a Rift Herald, two Hextech Drakes, and a Baron.
Supa's Akali finished 6/2/6, and Alvaro's Camille finished 0/3/9, an assist-heavy scoreline that's exactly what you want from a support who spends the game setting up kills rather than securing them herself. Across the lane, G2's Hans Sama on Viktor went 2/5/0 and Labrov on Rell went 0/5/3, a lane that lost badly enough to help swing the whole game.
G2 didn't fold for the series, though. They banned both champions out for the rest of the match under Fearless Draft, adjusted their draft, and took Game 2 (33 minutes) and Game 3 (46 minutes) to win the series 2-1. Supa moved to Syndra and then Ezreal, and Alvaro moved to Tahm Kench and then Karma, for the rest of the series.

Should You Try It?
Akali bot lane and Camille support aren't picks built for solo queue comfort. They need a jungler willing to path bot early and a team that trusts an all-in over a scaling lane. But as a one-off surprise, especially in a Fearless Draft series where the enemy team hasn't seen it coming, both picks bring real threat: Akali punishes any bot lane that doesn't respect her all-in, and Camille brings an engage tool that most supports simply can't answer.
