Archive post, December 2012. The 7v5 half of this plan doesn't exist any more. Yorick's old ultimate, Omen of Death, resurrected a fallen ally as a Revenant that fought on for him, which is what "Yorick ulting Sivir at the start" means here; his rework swapped it for Eulogy of the Isles [R], a Maiden that fights alongside him and revives nobody. Mordekaiser's old ultimate, Children of the Grave, enslaved the ghost of the champion it killed and handed Mordekaiser a share of their stats, so putting a ghost on the enemy AD carry was a real thing you could do. Realm of Death [R] now drags one target into a private dimension for a duel instead. The engage itself survives: Sivir keeps On The Hunt [R] and Spell Shield [E], Olaf keeps Ragnarok [R], and Alistar still opens with Pulverize [Q] and Headbutt [W]. You'd just be fighting 5v5 like everyone else.

Meanwhile, even strength in numbers fails as champions they thought dead mysteriously cheat it and continue slaughtering their enemies with a single bar of health left.
While not "unstoppable" as in an auto-win, if this team wins a lane or two during laning phase, watch out...mid/late game will be TERRIFYING.
| SUGGESTED LINEUP Top: Yorick Mid: Mordekaiser Jungle: Olaf AD Carry: Sivir Support: Alistar | ADVANTAGES:
- Strong laning presence
- Strong straightforward engage - Good single target damage - Good synergy - 7v5 | DISADVANTAGES: - Low amount of CC - Low Poke - Lanes push hard - Easily ganked/camped - Melee heavy |
If it tickles your fancy, replacing Alistar with Kayle works very well with the strategy.
STRATEGY:The main strategy here is straightforward; engage with Sivir/Olaf ultimate and/or Alistar's CC, then follow up with Yorick ulting Sivir at the start, or Mordekaiser if he's been caught out of position. Try and get Mordekaiser's ghost on the enemy AD carry with Olaf chasing him down and you should be golden for the rest of the battle. They'll try and kill one, but another will always replace the fallen.
Meanwhile, the more Sivir can juke with her spellshield, the better. She should always have one of the bruisers protecting her depending on who's engaging though.
COUNTER-STRATEGY
This team's actually pretty hard to counter. You'll want to make sure to do lots of jungle ganks since the enemy team pushes very hard, and creates intense pressure on your laners but easy openings as well.
Late game try and split push to separate the enemy team, especially since if you don't it could get hairy fast as a 7v4. Try and focus down Morde, and your AD carries should pick up a QSS. Watch out for Olaf though, he'll gun for your AD carry very hard and the only way to stop him is to kill him.
Champions like Cho'gath and Zyra will do well against this team composition since they have AOE CCs with short cooldowns that can be used effectively against the melee heavy team.
