Nobody on this team owns a reverse gear. Every button these five champions have points forward, and one of them hands out extra lives when that goes wrong.
This team comp focuses on champions built entirely around gap closers with no escape attached to them. Ambessa, Briar, Fizz, and Nilah all leap in and then have to win, so Renata Glasc runs the whole thing from behind, delaying deaths with Bailout [W] and turning the enemy team on itself with Hostile Takeover [R]. It's a theme first and a strategy second, and it's enormously fun when it lands.

Champions
TOP
Top Lane – Ambessa
Ambessa's whole kit rewards moving toward you. Drakehound's Step [Passive] tacks a dash onto every ability she casts, so she keeps closing distance while she does damage, and Public Execution [R] blinks her to the farthest champion in a line and suppresses them on arrival. She picks the enemy she wants and then stands on them.
JNG
Jungle – Briar
Briar is the thesis of this comp in one champion. Certain Death [R] sends her across the map at a marked target and fears everyone standing near them, and Blood Frenzy literally removes her ability to choose who she attacks. She heals off her own bleed, so the longer she stays in the middle of it, the better she does.
MID
Mid Lane – Fizz
Fizz gets the one escape button on the roster, and even that one moves him closer to trouble. Playful dodges the answer while Chum the Waters [R] commits him to a target he can't un-choose, and Urchin Strike [Q] dashes straight through whoever Ambessa already suppressed.
ADC
Bot Lane – Nilah
A melee marksman fits a comp with no backline. Slipstream [E] dashes her through the fight, Apotheosis [R] pulls everyone back toward her, and Joy Unending [Passive] amplifies every heal and shield her allies throw out. She converts Renata's support into a much bigger number than it looks like on paper.
SUP
Support – Renata Glasc
Renata Glasc makes reckless diving survivable. Bailout [W] delays an ally's death and pays it off completely if they get a takedown, which is exactly what four all-in champions need. Hostile Takeover [R] then sends the enemy team berserk and attacking each other, so even a failed engage turns into a second chance.
Key Concepts
- Accept that you can't disengage. This comp has no way to walk out of a bad fight, so pick your moment carefully and then commit everyone at once instead of feeding in one at a time.
- Save Bailout [W] for whoever dove first, not for whoever looks lowest. Briar and Ambessa go in earliest and take the most damage, and a Bailout [W] that pays off on a takedown effectively gives one of them a free life.
- Nilah wants to stand next to her team, not behind it. Every shield Renata Glasc casts gets bigger and gets shared when Nilah is in range, which is the closest thing this comp has to real peel.
- Hostile Takeover [R] works best as a comeback button. Fire it once the enemy has already grouped and started killing your divers, not as the opening move.
- This is a thematic comp before it is a strong one. It has no poke, no waveclear, and nothing that answers a real late game, so close the game out well before the enemy carries come online.
Countering
Beating this comp means never letting it reach you. Stack range, keep a wall or a knockback ready for the moment they commit, and remember that every one of these champions has to be in melee range to do anything at all.
Here's an example team that may succeed:
TOP
Top – Ornn
Brittle plus a knock up off Searing Charge [E] punishes divers who land next to him, and his upgraded items keep the whole team ahead in raw stats.
JNG
Jungle – Maokai
Nature's Grasp [R] roots an entire diving line before it arrives, which is devastating against five champions who all charge in from the same direction.
MID
Mid – Azir
Emperor's Divide [R] shoves the whole dive back out, and his soldiers let him deal damage from well outside the range any of these champions can reach.
ADC
Marksman – Ashe
Permanent slows make the approach miserable for a team of melee champions, and Enchanted Crystal Arrow [R] stuns whoever leads the charge.
SUP
Support – Braum
Unbreakable [E] soaks the burst that Fizz and Ambessa open with, and Glacial Fissure [R] knocks up the whole group as it arrives.
