This particular team comp features newer champions like Gwen and Yone but if you're old-fashioned feel free to throw in a Kayle and Olaf for old time's sake.

Check out how to play it below!

Champions

Samira [Bot] - One of the strongest mid to late game hypercarries in the game, a fed Samira can easily snowball through a battle, jumping from enemy to enemy, blocking projectiles and annihilating entire teams on her own.

Yone [Mid] - Keeping a good Yone down is nearly impossible. His ultimate feels like it should be easily avoidable but the massive range and area of effect means that hitting it is much easier than you'd expect. While his early game can struggle depending on who he's up against, his late-game is nearly unstoppable. While he may not have true invulnerability, the fact that he can ult through any crowd-control and hop back through any displacement makes him feel nearly so.

Taric [Support] - Very underappreciated, Taric shines when combined with high mobility champions that can snowball through fights and self-engage. On this team full of champions with those exact qualifications, the gems on this guy truly sparkle.

Viego[Jungler] - On a team with this many hypercarries it may seem odd to put yet another one in there. However, Viego's passive allows him to bypass enemy spells and snowball through fights as long as he gets an assist. In this team composition of high damage and supported invulnerability spells, he really shines.

Gwen[Top] - Sometimes I'm convinced players still don't know what Gwen really does, especially when they're standing in the middle of her mist trying to hit her. Despite her nerfs Gwen continues to be particularly obnoxious in team fights as she simultaneously can't be ignored and can't be targetted.

Key Concepts

  • Initiation through Yone's ultimate + Taric stun is guaranteed death.
  • Split pushing is a viable option if bot lane loses hard, but otherwise, this team can easily steamroll once they get some farm.

Countering

Countering this team mostly involves staying out of their range and avoiding their all-ins, crowd-control, and also running from Taric's ultimate.

Here is an example team that may succeed:
  • Anivia [Mid] - Blocks off enemy engagement
  • Nidalee [Jungle] - Heavy poke
  • Sett [Top] - Champion removal tool
  • Janna [Support] - Mass disengage
  • Ezreal [Marksman] - Heavy poke
This team composition is pretty much old school + Sett vs the new school champions. It's not super strong but gets the job done.
