Instructions and Caveats:
  • This tier list details which champions are most popular in today's current metagame, for better or for worse. Selecting a high popularity champion and doing mediocre is always favorable to selecting a low tier champion and doing mediocre for team morale.

Champion Explanations

  • Aatrox [God Tier Top] - The new Aatrox rework is pushing the champion back into the spotlight with increased mobility and a more immersive playstyle. While players are still getting used to his kit, we're definitely seeing some potential for future domination.
  • Brand [Tier 1 Bot carry] - Brand is no stranger to the bot lane, but as the one that actually farms, players are starting to come to grips with the changing meta. Against teams of double bruisers, Brand does incredibly well since his AOE damage is absolutely terrifying against a clumped team. As long as you ban out Yasuo, Brand can perform insanely well.
  • Fiddlesticks [God Tier Support] - Fiddlesticks continues to dominate the support charts as Master Yi still reigns supreme in the hearts of many junglers. There's nothing more frustrating than getting feared away at 100 kilometers per hour while playing Master Yi, and the sustain nerfs from previous patches allow Fiddlesticks to continue being an excellent poke mage.
  • Garen [God Tier Top] - Garen didn't get any specific buffs this patch, but the release of the new God skin was enough to make players pick him up and realize just how strong he stilll is.
  • Kindred [Tier 1 Jungle] - The latest Kindred buffs made them quite strong in the jungle this patch. I suppose this means I need to start remembering to call them by their plural names again...
  • Lucian [God Tier Bot Carry] - Throughout the shifting metas and nerfs, Lucian is still running hot when it comes to bot. While short range marksmen and bruisers are avaiable to harass bot lane, Lucian can perform his role of an early game lane bully extremely well.
  • Master Yi [God Tier Jungle] - The nerfs to Master Yi's jungle certainly aren't making players shy away from picking up the Wuju master. His ability to snowball is incredible good even if you're not running one of the cheese comps like the Taric + Yi strat.
  • Vladimir [Tier 1 Bot Carry] - Classically, Vladimir is a champion that needs levels and can heavily harass 1v1. As a result, most players prefer to bring him top lane or mid lane. However, his sustain power is quite good and players are finding that if the enemy takes bruisers bot lane, Vladimir is a viable counter. Vlad can also prevent all-ins from success as a result of his Sanguine Pool, which greatly diminishes the kill lane pressure.
