Brag-Worthy Plays Anyone Can Pull Off

Ten Highlight Reel Moments

Hi everyone, and welcome to this week's Top 10! The main theme of this post is to highlight some noteworthy plays that are both awe-inspiring, yet fully executable if you know to look out for them.

Most of them do require quick reactions and good positioning, but with enough attempts, all of them are possible to perform no matter what your division is.

Check out the full listing below!

Malphite champion icon

1. Dodging Malphite's Ultimate

This first one is simple and only requires a single button and fast reaction times.

If you're aware that Malphite's Unstoppable Force [R] might be coming through, get ready to Flash and awe spectators.

Vayne champion icon

2. Canceling Dashes With Vayne's Condemn

Vayne's ability to knock back champions with her Condemn [E] means that she has the ability to stop abilities like Alistar's Headbutt [W] or Shen's Shadow Dash [E] in the middle of the spell. This not only stops the damage, but reverses the dash movement as well.

To make the process smoother, learn to input buffer via this guide.

Brand champion icon

3. Canceling Brand's Ultimate

Brand turns up in plenty of games, mid or support, and it turns out there are a ton of ways to cancel his Pyroclasm [R], preventing it from bouncing across your entire team and decimating their health bars.

A few easy ways to cancel Brand's ultimate if it's coming towards you are as follows:

  • Braum's Unbreakable [E]
  • Yasuo's Wind Wall [W]

Your teammates will thank you.

Thresh champion icon

4. The "Madlife" Thresh Hook

So famous for this move that it was named after him, Madlife perfected the predictive Death Sentence [Q]. By channeling it and throwing it in a spot where you think the enemy champion might Flash to, it looks like you're super pro if you land it.

If you don't, just say "I thought he was going to flash".

Hot Tip: Notice that your champion doesn't have to face the direction you throw your hook while he's channeling. Use this to your advantage.
Zed champion icon

5. Dodging Spells With Zed's Ultimate

Zed remains one of the strongest assassins in the game, and Death Mark [R] does a lot more than set up a kill.

If you're aware that you can dodge ultimates like Malphite's, Vi's and Fizz's, you can plan for some exceedingly sick plays.

Of course, dodging an Ahri Charm [E] or a Blitzcrank Rocket Grab [Q] is also perfectly awesome in its own right.

6. The Lee Sin "InSec"

Another move that's been highlighted many times, the "InSec" play involves maneuvering behind an enemy champion and using Dragon's Rage [R] to kick the champion back into your own team.

The most professional method of performing this is by jumping to a ward via Safeguard [W], but it can also be executed by Flash and then ulting. The preferred method is actually by ulting then flashing before the animation finishes, but some players may be uncomfortable trying this.

Hot Tip: Bonus points if you can hit other enemy champions with the target you're kicking. The collision damage is actually the same as the target you kick PLUS a scaling increase based on the original target's bonus health.
Blitzcrank champion icon

7. Blitzcrank Pull Out of Thresh's Lantern

Believe it or not, champions are not invulnerable while traveling in spells like Thresh's Dark Passage [W] or Bard's Magical Journey [E]. This allows champions like Blitzcrank to tear them ferociously from safety back into the fire with Rocket Grab [Q].

Caitlyn champion icon

8. The Perfect Caitlyn Combo

Caitlyn has a mechanic where she can cancel the lag time on her Piltover Peacemaker [Q] if she chains it right after her 90 Caliber Net [E]. It's very simple to pull off and looks super smooth when you land both and follow up with Ace in the Hole [R] right.

Bonus points if you dodge a skillshot with the net. Malphite ult maybe?

Zac champion icon

9. Zac Drive-By Baron Steal

Zac's Elastic Slingshot [E] distance is absolutely insane, allowing him to traverse the length of the Baron pit and Smite while airborne and in range of Baron. He also gets a relatively long time to hold his channel for, allowing him quite a large margin for error during his steal attempt.

Fiora champion icon

10. Fiora Riposte [Insert Everything Here]

Fiora's Riposte [W] blocks all non-turret damage and crowd control for 0.75 seconds, then stabs in a line, stunning the first champion it hits for 2 seconds if any "immobilizing" effect was blocked during that window.

Again, this blocks all damage and all CC.

Play Fiora long enough and your entire League career will be full of highlight reels and "OHHHHH" moments.

Super bonus points if you block a Malphite ult and an Amumu ult at the same time.
