Running League of Legends on Windows 10

Hi everyone! As many of you probably know by now, today is the big release day of Windows 10 by Microsoft. For those of you that haven't installed Windows 10 yet or haven't received the windows update turn yet, check out this quick little guide below on how to get started!

How to Get the Installer

If you're running a GENUINE copy of Windows 7 or Windows 8.1, then back everything valuable up, shut down your extra programs, and get ready!

Some of you will get a notification via this button in the start tray:

However, since Microsoft is rolling out the update in waves, many of you will likely need to use an installer instead, available in both 32-bit and 64-bit copies here:

Internet Safety Tip: Even if a link LOOKS like a link, always put your mouse over it and see where it's actually pointing to.
Example: http://www.google.com This link says Google.com, but actually points to nerfplz.com.

If you're not sure which version you should download, hold the Windows key and press the pause/break button.

Installation Process

The above is the first screen you get, click next.

After this the program will go through several automatic processes:

Downloading Windows 10
Verifying Download
Creates Windows 10 Installer
Checks PC

At this point you'll be presented with the license terms, which you'll need to click "accept to continue.

Click next on the screen above.

Windows installs at this point, so no screenshots.

Your PC restarts several times during this process, but it should run smoothly.

Errors

As always with any product there are bound to be a few problems come up. While this installed seamlessly on my Surface Pro 3, my desktop had the following error:

Fix: You can download a free repartitioning tool to expand your system partition. I increased mine by 150 mb, I think 50 mb is enough. Personally I used EaseUS - The defaults do install adware but you can custom install and turn it off. Anyway, that's free and worked pretty well. After a few restarts I was able to install Windows 10.
