It's been two years since I posted the farewell and thanked everyone who read this site from 2011 to 2024. Turns out retirement didn't stick.
Nerfplz.com is back, and there's a lot to catch you up on: revamped tier lists, new filterable catalogs, and a plan for what comes next.
If you read the goodbye post, you already know why I stepped away. Interest in the game had faded and so had the readership, and letting the site rest felt like the right call instead of limping it along. What I didn't plan on was missing it. Coming back to look at the numbers, the comments, and just how much League has changed since 2024 made it obvious there was still a reason to keep the lights on here.
So first, thank you. To everyone who's been reading since the early tier lists, since the first Weird Pick Wednesday, since before either of those existed: the fact that this site still gets visitors two years after I stopped updating it means more than any stat page can show. And if you're new here, welcome. You picked a good time to show up, because most of the site just got rebuilt.
What Changed While We Were Gone
The core of nerfplz.com has always been the Solo Queue Tier List, and that's still true, but almost everything around it is new. The tier list itself got a cleaner layout and clearer tier badges, and it's no longer the only place to find that data. There's also a new site map that actually makes everything findable, and yes, the wallpaper section that's been sitting half-finished since 2011 is finally, actually done.
Revamped Tier List
Every role, every tier, refreshed each patch, with modernized flashcard-style champion cards instead of a wall of text.
Team Comp Catalog
A full, filterable catalog of every team comp we've written up, searchable by champion or comp name instead of scrolling through years of posts.
Weird Pick Catalog
Every Weird Pick Wednesday in one searchable, filterable table, sortable by role or champion, going back to the very first one.
Revamped Site Map
One index for the whole site: tier lists, comps, weird picks, and everything else, so you don't have to dig through search to find something you remember reading years ago.
Wallpapers, Finally Finished
Splash art and wallpapers for every champion in the game, including the 45 that were still missing until this patch. Long overdue, but done.
Orianna approves of finally having every team comp organized in one place.
There's also a new historical archive for the tier list itself: every patch-by-patch change going all the way back to Patch 3.6, in one place instead of buried across a decade of individual posts. If you've ever wanted to see exactly when a champion first showed up as God Tier, that's where to look now.

What's Staying the Same, and What's Next
The plan is still daily content, the same way it's always been. Patch notes the day they drop, tier list updates every patch, Weird Pick Wednesdays, Formerly OP retrospectives, all of it continues. What's new is that I'm starting to think about a few additional pick-style series for the game, more ways to cover picks and strategies beyond the current lineup instead of just running the same formats forever. Nothing is locked in yet, but it's on the table.
One more thing I'm genuinely excited about: League of Legends Classic. Riot bringing back an old-school version of the game is exactly the kind of thing that got me back into writing about League in the first place, and we already put together a rundown of everything we know so far.
