Never Surrender

Forget about Jax, Vladimir, and Vayne. This team comp is the ultimate late game domination comp featuring complete invulnerability and insane scaling. It features the famous Sona + Taric bot lane, and also throws in everyone's favorite early game punching bag and late game demi-God Kayle.

As long as you're careful early game, this will eventually scale to absurd levels. Even if your team falls behind, don't worry. As long as Kayle's getting levels a win is still in the making.

Champions
  • Sona [Marksman] - The only true support hypercarry, Sona's utility allows her to bring teams from the brink of death back to full in just a few seconds worth of her W rotation. Meanwhile, her E provides massive rotation power for your team, allowing you to secure objectives and run down enemies with ease. That's without even mentioning the potential damage output she dishes with Lichbane procs...think ARAM Sona without the healing penalty. If that's not enough to make you quiver in terror I don't know what will.
  • Karthus [Mid] - On a team specializing in team fights, Karthus excels at forcing enemies to rethink standing in Kindred's ultimate. While his passive is certainly powerful in its own right, on this team seeing Karthus actually die may be somewhat of a rarity.
  • Taric [Support] - Taric is one of the cornerstones to making this team work. He's crucial in enabling the Sona bot strategy, and also allows your team to make full use of obnoxious defensive combos with Kindred and broken CC combos with Sona.
  • Kindred [Jungler] - Kindred provides this team with some much needed ranged attack damage. Kindred also synergizes wonderfully with this team composition and allows this team to make incredible turn-around plays.
  • Kayle [Top] - Kayle in her current state is absolutely broken. On this team composition she provides massive AOE damage and survivability. Earlier on she'll likely want to ult Kindred, but later on she'll become the ultimate hypercarry, especially with two supports.

Key Concepts

  • Consider the enemy spells when deciding whether to use Taric or Kindred's ultimate first.
  • This team is somewhat weak early game depending on what the enemy picks. If they're highly aggressive consider playing more passive than usual.

Countering

Countering this team mostly involves picking up early game champions that can abuse the early game. It also involves avoiding poke champions, since they'll never get past Sona's defenses.

Here is an example team that may succeed:
  • Talon [Mid] - Talon's burst damage comes in handy when keeping Karthus under control. His powerful all-in also makes it difficult for Sona to heal through.
  • Xin Zhao [Jungle] - Xin Zhao's early game gank power is immense. Picking him up is also great to use against Kindred as a result of his ultimate's AOE knockback.
  • Riven [Top] - Fight broken champions with broken wings. Riven's ability to snowball against Kayle is incredibly high. Her damage is also high enough to burst through enemy ranks and her mobility gives her the ability to run away from all the in-vulnerabilities.
  • Pyke [Support] - If your team manages to kill a champion, Pyke will ensure that the fun doesn't end. He also provides some much needed initiation power for this team.
  • Jinx [Marksman] - Combined with Pyke, Jinx is able to quickly capitalize on Talon's initial burst damage and run through enemy champions. Her passive also gives her the ability to disengage if Taric manages to get his ultimate off by quickly popping a squishy and running away.
Overall this counter team is somewhat of a specialty comp and difficult to use. It also shouldn't be used against a traditional team composition as it is very vulnerable to tanks as a result of its single damage source. Swapping out Riven for Rumble would balance this team out a bit though.
